Average person can't help Alchohol or Substance abusers. They need help from professionals. Initially they get into drug abuse due to peer pressure, issues with self esteem, broken families, fitting into the grp at school or whatever the reason may be. Once they are addicted they also become manipulators.

As GT wrote no one can help them until they want to be helped. First step for them is to admit that they have an addiction and want to be helped. Than loved ones can get them professional help. Otherwise I have seen many family members become co-dependent and instead of helping them quit they end up supporting them into bad addiction.

Exactly, in most cases, girls became adicted under the influence of their boyfriends/hostel mates.

Thanks all ..especially Jane/gauri/LH/Qwert/Nita/GTro

for responses here...truly nice points😳.

DB - as far as I read and know ...u r cent percent right addictors are big manupilators...but not sure if professional help is more effective then average person to understand the reasons and work on it... biggest fault here is if people become are manupilated by abusers... Symapthy and help can be given without being manipulated....JIMO..thank for great response!!

Explaining yaa why abuse is bad is like...challenging Raja Harishchandra on the meaning and value of truth....no offense please am sure you raised this for a reason... so adding my bit on substance abuse...anything should be done under limits...when limit is crossed that is harmfull for individual / plus family society as far as questionable substances is concerned it's bad. Reason I also raised a question is availing such substance is bad or individuals abusing it is bad, in original post.
