Chapter 18
It was a raining night kalpi was watching the rain fall by the glass window. Her eyes were lost , and dull. " every time the rains falls it reminds me of that awful day. Why wont you just let me forget" she says before closing the curtains.
She step away and walk to her bed. Going in to sleep, she turns when she heard his voice in her head. She covers her ears with the pillow to get rid of it, but it wouldnt stop. She sat back up, and look in the dark room. Suddenly, she saw a vision of them on that night. Her eyes were once more in a trance, while watching a younger version of herself walking in a hotel with raghav.
She had a very shy look. She saw raghav reassuring her and telling her to relax. Which she did. Raghav announced he will take a shower so he can dry off. Before she could respond he remove his shirt. Causing her to blush like a high school girl.
She wasnt aware of raghav smirk. She remember telling him, she will make something for them. Raghav told her they can get a room service. She had denied the offer. And so he left her alone while he took a shower. Kalpi clothes were damp. She was soaking and felt uncomfortable.
She search for one of the clothes raghav bought her and blush when she saw the intimate outfit. She recall the lady saying to only wear the outfit with the one she love, she wonder if it was alright. Deciding, she starts to change, but stop half way when raghav walks back " I'm done, you can use it nex-"
He never finished when he saw kalpi half topless. Kalpi blushing throw a shoebat him causing it to hit his head. Surprise, he cried. Kalpi realize what she did and quickly walk to him. She drag him to sit on the bed, before asking to look at his head. Concern, she asks over an over if he was fine.
Raghav nod. She rub his head to sooth the pain , unaware of raghav staring at her. When he had enough , he grab her hand. " I'm fine kalpi. It doesnt hurt anymore".
" but ashish"
" no" he says
" I'm sorry"
Raghav puts a hand on her lips to silence her. He told her she will catch a cold if she doesnt take them off and take a shower. When he said this kalpi finally realize she was topless. Shy , she slaps him and turn around. Bewildered, raghav touch his cheeks.
Kalpi half turned feelibg guilty yet again " I'm sorrry , i didnt mean too"
Raghav laughs. This confused her, he looks at her an told her she amuses him. He says " thats why i love you a lot"
Kalpi looks down embarrassed. Decided, she quickly got up and walk to the bathroom. Ten minute later, she came out wearing a robe. By that time their was already food . ragahv asks if she was hungry, she nods. He patts the bed and she sat down. Kalpi looking at the food , realize their all her favorite.
She asked how he knew. He said he didnt. Kalpi remembered talking abaout her family and her dream. She was touched that raghav listened. He talked about his father and then mother. That night raghav was so emotional, he looked like a lonly child. She couldnt help, but to hug him. When they pulled back, they stare at each other for so long that raghav decided to make the first move.
She didnt know how long they staid kissing, and she didnt care. When they pull apart, raghav gave her that look. The one that says if your ready. Kalpi touch his cheeks, and initial another kiss. " dont worry about me"
Raghav smirk, thats all he wanted. " i love you kalpana"
Kalpi smile " and i love you"
That night kalpi gave her everything to raghav. He made sure she was alright the whole time. But who would have thought he would leave the next day.
Kalpi woke up,, she didnt know she fell asleep. She look around the empty room before leaving the bed. She stop when pain hits her. She could hear the phone ringing. She tried to grab it, but she fell. The next thing she knew she was unconscious.
Elsewhere
Rahul was still standing by the window watching the rain. He refused to speak to raghav. Raghav tried to get him to answer, but he didnt budge. " mama" he says
.
Paki says " if he doesnt want to listen, just leave him."
" shut up paki. Your not helping him"
Paki frown " I'm just saying. You have things to do in the morning. Dont worry about this spoil brat."
Raghav shook his head. " this is my son"
" we dont know that"
" paki!"
" what... Why do you care raghav. Anyone could bring a baby at your door atep saying its yours. "
" why are you saying this. Is it because you cant have children" raghav stops what he was saying and look at paki.
" I'm sorry paki"
" no you said enough" she turn away from him " I'm going upstairs"
" paki wait" he says following her.
Rahul kept repeating mama over and over. Suddenly he left the window and ran out in the rain. When raghav came back down, he realize theirs no rahul. He saw the door open, and the rain pouring out. " Rahul!!" he screams
