Why audience whistle, shout and clap on bollywood actor entry?

I have seen movies in 4 countries in different languages, but only seen people whistling, clapping and shouting on bollywood actor's entry. Its normal to clap and hoot at the end of good movies but i don't understand the craze for bollywood actor ?

i don't know

in bahrain every one seems very conscious. I have never heard any sound in even a masala movie. Every one watches it quietly :p

i would one day love to watch a salman movie in single screen though to see what exactly happens..

whistle is too much... but its funny when someone comment when its silent scene in the movie, sometime people's comment r more hilarious then movie.

Prabhas' entry scene in Baahubali 2 with that rath got the loudest cheer and whistles that I have ever witnessed in my entire life.

i heard rajni fans are more crazy then salman's even i want to see such movie once.
