Most of the big franchises like Krrish Don Munnabhai Dhoom have worked bigger and better, and even small films like masti and even singham has successful sequels. But in TV mostly sequels have flopped even though TV fans are quite stable and support the show for a long time Starting with Kitni mohabbat hai, Na bole tum na maine kuch kaha, and now Iss pyar ko kya naam doo, most of the sequels have flopped.
even in Reality shows the new seasons become boring and weird that you fail to understand the head or tale.

Why do you think sequels in movies work an din TV does not ?

3 ghante ka ek movie. 300 episode ka ek season. Too much of anything loses interest. Every story has a limit to be stretched. With movies there are many things that can be explored and created content wise given the limited time it gets in each part. TV shows as it is get stretched beyond limits in their first season. People love the characters or actors out of habit cause it comes regularly. Most don't care about the story anymore. When given a break ur habit breaks and u lose interest that never comes back.

But you will see the fans making petitions and begging channels for sequels and later nothing works even when the show starts fresh. I agree otherwise that 300 episodes later who the hell will care for another season.

infact after 3 movies i do not care for a franchise also, unless i really like each movie of the series.. 😆
I really like golmaal series though and liked Raaz series unless they killed with the reboot

Arre dusro ka kya dekhna maine khud kiye hai 😆 I think every show will have some hardcore fans. Specially the online audience who keep going back and watching their shows again and again never really get out of that habit. They keep living in nostalgia missing their favs and all so they keep demanding it comes back but that thing that they fell in love with never really returns with a sequel. But most people are regular audiences who get busy with other stuffs once the show is over so they do get out of that habit easily and never really come back to it. Infact once some shows are over I wonder why was I even watching it in the first place. Perspective changes I guess. 😆 Same with movies after the third part even they have no story left and it becomes rubbish.

IPKKND 3 is beyond horrible and BARUN cannot act to save his life! He wasn't that bad in IPKKND, he was actually good but OMFG he and the new lead are unbearably bad in this one!
