Dostana actor John Abraham who was once a model and now is into acting and producing has moved a step further and bought stakes in the NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) team of the ISL - Indian Super League, men's professional football league.
Now as the Indian Super League is coming up with it's next - Season Fourth, Players' draft was held in which out of around 200 (199 exact), 134 players made their way and were sold out.
It was after the auction and in the interaction with the media that John came up with his thoughts. The tall, muscular, handsome actor who is known more for his looks than acting said, "I just wanna make one thing clear, I'm not like those bunch of Bombay boys operating from Bombay. Our entire office and management is running out of the North East. I'm actively involved with whatever goes on, with the selection of every player, with the grass root academy and everything else. I know all the numbers. I'm an active owner just like I'm a creative producer and I know what's happening. And its very important to do that rather than be like an actor, wear dark glasses, sit at the back and wave out at crowds."
Now we are pondering what he exactly meant and whom did he direct his words at? Was he taking a jab at Shah Rukh Khan who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders.
