"I have to pick her up at 6:30 AM! The board of directors meets at 7:30 AM this means I would have to go to office straight from the railway station. Omkara talked to himself getting ready to pick Prinku's friend Anika. Her train was to reach Mumbai at 6:30 he could only hope that it won't be late. It was quarter to six in the morning and he called her with an intention to inform her that he would be there to pick her up.
"Hallo!
"Yes, who is it?
"I am Prinku, I mean Priyanka's brother. She told me that you were coming to Mumbai for the first time.
"Ok so how does that bring you in picture?
"I am coming to pick you up. I will drop you wherever you want. Omkara could not resist a smile as the person on the other side was clearly not from his side of the world. The naughtiness in the voice of this girl was clean and contagious unlike his world where mostly, not always but mostly naughtiness edged towards raunchiness.
"Meri marzi ke bina utha rahey hain aap mujhey to gira bhi bina meri marzi ke hi dijiye Though she didn't laugh but to Omkara her tone was dripping with laughter and it permeated through the phone also. Omkara could not resist laughing out loud.
"To yeh shikayat hai aapko?
"Shikayat humko nahi, Priyanka ke bhaiya, aisi dam ghotu cheese hum nahi rakhtey apne paas. She joined him in his laughter. "Khair Mazak apni jagah Mr. Oberoi par aapko takleef karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai. Aapki behen mujhey apne jaisa chuimui ka per samajhti hai...

"Par Mr Oberoi please main manage kar loongi maine ek hotel reservation karva liya hai aur unki cab pick karne aa rahi hai.
"kiss hotel mein? If you don't mind me asking. Omkara said while keying the engine of his own "Dyuti.
Dyuti is the latest midlevel car that had taken not only India but nearly whole of Asia by storm. It was the dream baby of the Oberoi Brothers and was doing exceptionally well and if everything went as per their plan their merger with ford would launch the car in USA too. Shivaya had been strategic bone of this project if not for him this project would never have seen the daylight. Omkara was the design head for the development team of this car. He was a mechanical engineer graduate from Kanpur IIT and then had masters in aerospace and mechanical engineering from Princeton. Shivaya and Omkara had literally lived this car for past ten years. Seeing it move and run and groove for them was like seeing their own child grow. Today they were to give a final collaboration proposal to Ford America delegates. This would be the first time that cars would be going from India to USA.
"Hotel Pearl View in Andheri actually it was close to the railway station. They will provide with a conveyance too so you see I will manage She stated very simply.
"OK The line went silent
"Arrey itni jaldi gira diya. She laughed to herself "Bade log badi baatein
"Kaun bada? Omkara was back.
"I am sorry I thought phone was disconnected.
"Nope I just put you on hold to get your reservation cancelled. I will be there in next 25 minutes. Please do come with me to our house. Mom and dad and dadi would be pleased to meat Prinku's friend. I promise you will have a personal chauffer with our very own Dyuti. I insist as humbly as I can.
"Mujhey aap logo ko pareshan karne ka man nahi hai. main aaongi ghar aapki mummy ka number Priyanka ne diya hai mujhey. I will call her and come when she has time. Actually Priyanka ne unke liye kuch bheja hai to I need to deliver the gift as well.
"I am on my way.

This time the line went cold and Anika did not know how to convince him moreover her reservation also was now cancelled so in other ways he did get away with his way with her. For the first time in her life was she not able to wrap her head around this situation.
"Wow but how am I supposed to recognize him? She muttered to herself and then it struck her. He was an Oberoi though elusive to the media still they must have a pic here or there so she Googled, but wait which Oberoi was this who was coming to pick her up. One of them she recognized quite well because of his greyish blue eyes. He was the only one who actually was ever face to face with camera every one else of the Oberoi family were pretty illusive. Even in college no one knew that Priyanka was this "Oberoi. So she finally googled Oberoi industries and learnt the names of three brothers. She also saw some pictures of the three together but did not know which one was coming to pick her. She tried to memorize the faces of all three.
As he pulled his car into the main exit area of the railway station he spotted her, in a jeans and a simple yellow top and with a small bag. He brought his car to a stop right in front of her.
"Anika? He looked at her questioningly.
"Mr Oberoi She flashed her slightly disarranged teeth that made her look like a little girl.
Omkara got out of his car and held her hand in an unfamiliar manner. Something about her made him comfortable otherwise Omkara was never ever close to girls.
"Omkara, and where is your luggage? She nodded and pointed to her small bag that was hanging on her shoulder.
"That is all!
"I am here just for a few days not for life.
"Tall claims. He said sportingly and gently pushing her towards the front passenger seat.
"I don't understand what do you mean by tall claims. I am not good at English. Badi mehnat karni parti hai jahan thodi bhi airi pairi English kissi ne boli. Itni mehnat to mujhey insaan ki khopdi samajhne mein nahi karni parti jitni yeh angreji samajhne mein karni parti hai.
"You said you were not here for life. Hummein agle minute ka to pata nahi hota hum poori zindagi ki baat kar letey hain. Omkara looked at her in utter disbelief "tum doctor ho na?
"Haan neuro surgeon, residency kar rahi hoon.
"phir angrezi mein haat tang? Accha Mazak tha.
"Mazak issmein Mazak kya hai science padhne aur marrezon se baat karne ke liye jitni angrezi aani chahiye bas utni hi aati hai. Thoda bahut bolna to main aapki chuimui ke per ke saath rehkar seekh gayi. Par ab wo kya kehtey hai wo aapke angrezi ke Sharat Chandra wali language nahi samajh paati hoon.
"Sharat Chandra?
"Arrey wahi thou and art wale.
"Ohh Shakespair He laughed whole heartedly
"Ab hiltey pair ho ya haath mere to sar ke upar hi jaatey hain.

"AAPne ne hi to kaha Shakes pair ...hiltey pair jada easy nahi hai?
He just shook his head and laughed.
"Anyways I have to first go to our office. What is your programme for today and what brings you to Mumbai?
"I have to meet Dr. Samar Malhotra. He is a neuro oncologist at Tata today at 4:30 PM. Other than that I have no plans. I don't know about tomorrow it will depend on how today goes.
"I hope your meeting with doctor Malhotra is not for any personal reasons. I hope every thing is OK.
She looked into his eyes to see if this was a mere professional way that corporate guys these days talked in or there was a genuine concern.
"I am good. It is about a medical trial ...She looked at him trying to ascertain if he would be interested in her medical mumbo jumbo which anyways was mostly depressing. She finally decided against it and added nonchalantly "It is just job.
"It is really important for me to be at this meeting with the board. It wont take take long I promise and once done will take you myself home. Meanwhile our office does have our refreshing room on the top floor you can freshen up there. I hope I am not imposing my self on you?
"Is there an option B? it took quite some time for Omkara to decide if what she said was a question or sarcasm. His logic decided in favor of latter.
"I will make this upto you Anika trust me. This will be an unforgettable trip for you and in a good way. I promise the day your job is done I will take you sight-seeing to the most beautiful and hidden jewels of Mumbai. Does this also sound imposing? He looked at her hopefully while pulling the car into the owners parking lot and bringing it to a halt.
"No this is more like a bribe that I want to take. Where is your refreshing room? She asked all woes forgotten. Omkara took her to the room himself ignoring every curious glance. He never fooled around with girls neither for fun or seriously. He was a rare specimen of man one who had saved himself for the right kind of girl.
