Nobody had noticed Rani in Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat. To audience, her debut was in 1998 as a Khandala girl. Out of the ten movies you are speaking, six were released in 2000, (the same year when Kareena debuted).
Kareena either had fall outs because of her remuneration demand (KHNH) or had lack of chemistry (Ashoka). Hence she could not work with Khans in early stage of her career. (Not because they were old).
If Sarah Ali Khan joins the movie now, Alia will not become previous generation. If Alia gets work with Sharukh and Sarah gets work with Sushant, it will not prove people will perceive Sarah younger than Alia.
