Veere Di Wedding first schedule to start shooting in August.

First schedule of the duo's film on girl power will kick off this August.

While it was announced last year that Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and newbie Shikha Talsania will feature in director Shashanka Ghosh's Veere Di Wedding, Mirror has now learnt that the film is finally set to kick off its first schedule in Delhi this August.

"Shashanka and his team have done extensive recce in Delhi where the major portion of the film is set. The first schedule will be a smaller one of a few days, after which they will mostly head to Bangkok for the second schedule, informs a source close to the development.

While speaking to Mirror earlier, producer Rhea Kapoor had revealed that while Bebo plays a progressive character in the film, Sonam will transform into a middle class Delhi girl. "Sonam's character is a lot about how your life is governed by what you feel you should do and what you actually want to do. Her character tries to balance everything that comes with that, the filmmaker-stylist had revealed.

Mirror has also learnt that the makers have approached Sumeet Vyas, known for his role as Mikesh in the popular web series Permanent Roommates, to play Kareena's boyfriend in the film. "Conversation has been going on since a long time and it's currently in the final stages. They should be able to lock the deal in a few days, adds the source.

Veere Di Wedding will be Kareena's first film after son Taimur's birth in December. The new mum has since embarked on an extensive weight-loss program for her part in the film which was initially to kick off in April.
