Since the snippets are from Manu's POV, Amba's reaction to her death will not be seen anyway. I was also surprised by how quickly Amba changed in Rye serial.
Yes, Manu distanced herself from Raman when he resembled Raj because she was very hurt by how things ended between the two of them. She also felt uncomfortable because she had to act like Raman's father when she was actually his mother.
