It Hurts, Doesn't It? The Truth? - 14/6 - CAPS ADDED

Note: This isn't Shivaay hating or bashing. A simple, hard-hitting truthful post, rather. Please do disagree if you want to but within the boundaries of decorum. All bashers will be given maha, royal ignore.😃

Today, we saw Annika put on the WORST side of Shivaay - the beastly side. The one we've all only completely seen during the wedding. The one that scares us.

And today - Annika was scary. She took the heart that Shivaay had laid bare for her and RIPPED IT INTO SHREDS. It was a complete flip from the wedding. Shivaay's NKK and family was questioned - just like Annika's khudaree was once questioned. Great contrast *claps*

Not ONE THING Annika said today rang false. What she said may sound harsh - because she was purposely lashing out and choosing words that would hurt him the most - but at the end of the day, she decided (as a friend mentioned to me on Twitter) to keep her morals intact by avoiding lies as much as she could.

God, did this last line hurt or what?! I legit had to pause and muffle my sobs. My heart was breaking. Poor Shivaay 😭😭

But then, again, the words are harsh AF but it's the truth. This isn't the standard of the Oberois. Shivaay Singh Oberoi sets up a mandap to renew his wedding vows and it's this small? He doesn't make a grand deceleration as SSO usually does? Why not, Shivaay?

If you notice, he doesn't answer the question she asks. He evades,

And she has an answer ready,

Again, this hurt bad. Shivaay's face was blank for a moment with the shock, before he begins to tear up.

But guess what - it's true, again. He's doing this for his own peace of mind. To rid himself of the guilt that still eats him up every time Annika's face falls seeing other people talk of marriage. We've seen him vehemently avoid the topic of their marriage on other occasions, too. During the farzi track, for example, when he asked Annika to talk about anything but the past. He fumbles but manages to say,

As long as Annika is smiling - Shivaay is fine. He hates the tears in her eyes but if she's smiling despite her sadness, he never bothers to dig deeper. Take this track, as an example. She's been sad, crying SO MUCH and dropping subtle hints left, right and center. But he's not been bothered enough to dig deeper as long as she's with him. He's been happy - despite her apparent unease.

Pinky interferes again, but props to Shivaay - he tells her to stay out of it and still isn't convinced she's doing this out of hatred. He asks her what's wrong and her face turns soft for a moment.

But she pushes away what his helpless eyes are doing to her, she has to power on. Her will power - as always - is supreme.

Dadee tells her to stop. She thinks the Oberois have always given her the respect due her. Despite her goodness, I'm glad Annika got to tell her that's an illusion she's created around her. "Yeah, right, dadee"

But Shivaay has had enough. Asks her if she's forgotten how to talk to her elders. "I won't take anyone being disrespectful to my family"

And Annika has been insulted so many times in front of your eyes, Shivaay. Is she not family?

So she decides to drop the bomb "My NKK bothered you when your own brother Om is illegitimate."

Yep, she went there. Look at that face. Gosh. 😭😭😭

P.S. Annika got to tell Pinky to SHUT UP. It was for a moment but it felt good 😆 Kinda cathartic to see this face:

P.P.S. Did you all notice how OmRu were low-key encouraging Annika? When they told her to speak up, there was no venom, no hatred in their voices. They were silently giving her the strength to power on.

but loved anika today - everything was truth - kya thok ke bhaaav mein bajayi hai un logon ki mazaaa aa gaya 🤣 - she spoke nothing but the truth to be honest

saare nikame log hai oberoi mansion mein! i am just happy that my girl is out of this mad house now - party time 🥳

if i were her, i would go to a beach, get some nice massages drink pina coladas 🤣

and if they go this way - nothing can bring back the shivika charm at least for me 😉

However, one thing I completely disagree with is the thought that Shivaay did all this only for his peace of mind. Assuming that would be a gross injustice to Shivaay's character and how far he has come. The man changed himself for her (while not expecting her to change a bit), altered his beliefs just for her (while not expecting her to change her beliefs), promised himself and her a lifetime of happiness. So, saying that he did this for his peace of mind would be undermining his character and love for her. Yes, he did do this to correct his past wrongs (so partially for his peace of mind) but mostly to give her the happiness that she deserves (which he made clear yesterday).

Also, her dialogue about the 2rs standard, ghar pe mandap etc was hurtful AF and she knows it which is why she had that softened expression when he tells her that he thought she would like it like that. Because that's the truth. Not just for her, but for him too. He had made it amply clear to her long back on their first breakfast date that his choice of marriage would be an intimate affair with only family and loved ones witnessing it. With Tia, he didn't care. With Annika he made an effort to do that. She knows it and that's why she hit him with those words.

So yeah, basically everyone except Shivaay deserved all her bitterness today including Omru and Jhaanvi who have also been silent witnesses several times. Also I don't understand their actions at the moment. They have known Shivaay way longer than Annika has. Do they really think all this is for his good? Do they not think he has the strength to face the truth, however bitter it may be, after he has been their "great wall" so many times!!

But yeah so glad she told Pinky to shutup! 👏 I so wish when all this ends, Shivaay takes Annika and settles in some other city away from all these strange people! 😆

And I can't say anything else other than what you have mentioned. You just put whatever I felt in words beautifully.

Though the forced separation is lame, I felt today's episode though heartbreaking kind of erased the lameness from my mind.

And, KARMA IS A BITCH. Proved today.

Shivaay is getting back what all he did during the infamous shaadi stunt. But this time he is happy to be with her so we really feel for him.

I don't know why I feel for Anika more. Look at her Expressions. She is happy but suddenly starts to act coz of her love. Her look in the precap says it all. My heart is breaking for her. For them.

Darling, I always love your posts😊. There are a lot of different opinions going around today, and I don't think anyone is wrong. It's a matter of how one sees it...

I can be a bit more emotional, and I felt pain in today's episode. Annika was awesome today, but I couldn't handle the hurt Shivaay had on his face, Annika was in pain too but she had to be strong.

I've said it before, this track is a parallel to the forced marraige, nothing Annika said today was wrong. But it did hurt, because we know she's not like this.

The next two episodes will get worse, today was the set up...it's going to hit the heights tomorrow and Friday. There will be an emotional breakdown scene of Shivaay and Annika and they may show it in a split screen to draw the parallels.

Annika is not done yet, she's going to do more...so much more that Shivaay will hate her. He will engulf the hate and become SSO once again...the media thing will be drastic, I'm sure of it.

When Janvi burnt herself we got a new Om. Tomorrow Annika will burn Shivaays heart and we will get SSO!

but there are points i don't agree:

1- the whole 2 rupee mandap : shivaay said in malika's track that small preparations were enough for him to marry...the one that wanted media attention and glamor and cared about publicity is SSO...the one who cares about this marraige is HER SHIVAAY...we always wanted ANNIA'S SHIVAAY to win...& he has been for a long time...HE WON TODAY TOO...he prepared it the way he though THEY BOTH LIKED ... SIMPLE WITH ONLY FAMILY AROUND

u can't say he's wrong for wanting to be just shivaay when all this progression was about this na?

2- the whole mahan thing for remarriying ... i thought it was over done...he might be doing out of guilt but he wanted to erase her bitter memories with it,didn't he?

plus the way he was saying she hasn't agreed yet but she will...it made feel as (if there was no sep) he would go to any extent to make her say yes...to give her happy memoires about this...so i didn't like this either

other than that ...she was right ... specially regarding her being insulted over and over again

and the part u mentioned about him not digging deeper too made sense ... i think he expects her to come and tell (which she did i know) but i don't think he believes his mother would fall that low

maybe he thought whatever it is,she can handle it...maybe he thought it was kitchen politics 😆😆😆... i don't know

btw, i didn't get what she said about his family being a b-- something...but that doesn't sound right

but it's hard risha ...for me this was even worse because they're n love ...it's worse than the wedding...how will it feel if shivaay mistrusts annika regarding a daksh issue now?? it's that painful ... that destructive i guess

pps: i loved the fact that she yelled at pinky in precape ( i am all for respecting elders no matter what ... i am...but some 1 needed to shut pinky up every time she spoke in this scene ...i'm glad some 1 did)

now a q to get points of view: u really think shivaay will get to know the truth before lapse?? & it would be A whou doesn't want to return?? i'm hell confused about this
