Hi friends. Like many of u am also pissed with this time lapse introduced. This is a an attempt to soothen me as well as people in forum who have been having uneasy mind. Kindly read the entire story before jumping to conclusion. Hope u guys like it. Not proof read.
Doctrine of Lapse
"What is wrong with u Anika?" roared shivaay . "What is wrong with me? What is wrong with u? How could u easily transfer 50% of your shares to omkara and rudra without any thoughts? Are u out of your mind?They don't even work for it"asked anika infuriating shivaay further.
"Shut up !! Shut up !! If i want i will give my entire shares to omru . U don't have any rights to ask me not to do. We have already talked this over. Why are you starting again? What has happened to u Anika? Its not like u. First u yelled for jewellery, then the against mom,then for shares,then refused to celebrate haldi and now again about shares... Why are u behaving like this? U have never been bothered about money? Why now?"yelled shivaay from the bottom of his lungs.
"Fine. Be a pauper.Money is important to me and I don't want to be with such an idiot. Give me divorce. Am leaving you." said Anika turning away stumping shivaay. Pinky's face glowed with happiness while shakti was shocked. Shivaay just couldn't process what had happened and what was being spoken by HIS Anika. He felt the entire sky has fallen on his heads. He slowly raised his head to react. But all of a sudden words got caught in his throat. Anika had tears brimming in her eyes. Her fingers were trembling with the weight of the words she had just uttered. She felt a thousand deaths mentally.
Finally shivaay spoke, " if u wanna leave. Leave" in a stern voice while his eyes were devoid of expressions , focusing at a distant point. Omkara and rudra who had just come hearing the spat could not comprehend anything. They were shell shocled to react. Anika quickly walked to get her things, ready to leave. Gauri and jhanvi tried stopping Anika while she was coming out her room. Rudra and priyanka panicked. Omkara lost into deep thoughts unable to comprehend what is happening to between his bhaiyya and bhabhi. Rudra started pleading to Anika not to leave. But Anika just started walking fast. Suddenly shivaay who had left came back near the entrance right in front of her. Anika panicked looking at the expression in his face.
He was not billu. He was not shivaay. He was shivaay singh oberoi in his shark mode. "Where are u going?" asked shivaay with his raging eyes shooting piercing arrows towards her. Anika felt shivers running through her spine . The last time she saw him like that was when she got married. "Uhh vo.." she stammered. "You say u want to leave me since i will become a pauper right?" asked shivaay taking a step closer. "Uhh yes." She uttered. " And where do u think u will live? Your told your friend chanda got transferred and is no longer in mumbai right? Where will u go? I am the owner of your old house
Where will u go? Stop acting and tell me what is going on... i am not ready to believe that u value money more than me. What is your problem ? Spit it out" yelled shivaay shaking the entire mansion.
Anika trembled. If looks could kill she had would have died a million deaths by shivaay's eyes. She couldn't decide if it was the hurt or the anger in his eye that was killing her but for all she knew she felt assassinated. Shivaay held a key right in front of her face and said "why are u silent? Here this is a part of your alimony. My guest house.Your new house. If money is more important to u than me , then take it. Shivaay singh oberoi always settles with interest. Divorce papers would come right to your door . But if am more important stay here and tell me the reason why are you behaving like this. Tell the truth."
Anika couldn't face shivaay. She started looking towards the ground. His words were causing her a slow death. But she was afraid of the bitter truth which would kill him. She had always made him her number one. Even now she is choosing his happiness over her life. Yes life. How would she live her life happily without her soul that is him. She will be living but soulless. Anika's trembling hands held the key from his hand. Her head still refuses to look into his eyes. She was afraid that if she looked at him, her pained eyes would reveal her secret. Shivaay was aghast. But the shark oberoi took over his stone face . He yelled "good. Leave" and went inside to his room. No longer their room. His room. He started breaking every lamp in his vicinity.

Anika reached the house shivaay had thrown in her face . Anika felt defeated. Her every single dream about finding love had come true. But when she thought its forever to stay , she herself had to forfeit it for the welfare of the man she loved. Suddenly Anika's phone rang. It was tia. "Haan tia. I left shivaay. Yes. Yes. No tia. Am not in my old home. Am in shivaay's guest house. It's not needed tia. I'll be fine. If u don't mind I'll talk to u later" said Anika trying to fight her breaking voice and brimming tears in her eyes. As soon as she cut the call, a smiling shivaay appeared in her screen as her wallpaper. Anika traced his face on screen fondly. All the tears she had been fighting so far came flooding out of her eyes. She cried out loud cursing her fate.
After a 15 minutes , tia came rushing in and consoled Anika. Tia had openly wished with all her heart for anika and shivaay to end up together after they reunited dushyant and her. Hearing a broken Anika made tia feel miserable and hence she came as soon as she can. Anika cried her heart out to Tia for hours together. After repeated assurances and with a promise from Anika that she would ask for any help needed, tia left. Anika felt exhausted and slept immediately after Tia left.
Next day,
Anika being thoroughly exhausted and highly pained by heart woke up late. Trying very hard not to think about shivaay she slowly started to begin her routine. Just when she was about to eat, calling bell rang.
Anika opened the door. There stood her life in a highly pained state with baggages. Even before Anika could realise what had happened, shivaay enveloped her in a spine crushing hug . Having been regretting every single second without him,Anika reciprocated the hug in equal fervor.

After realising what has happened anika finally broke the hug. "How could u anika? How could u do this to me when u are the only truth in my life?" said shivaay cupping Anika's cheeks. Anika was clueless. "Shivaay aap..." said Anika only to be interrupted by Shivaay's hug.
What had actually happened ,
The moment Anika mentioned failed marriage to shivaay, he felt shocked. Although Anika had brushed off that as just a thought shivaay couldn't leave it easily. Having known Anika well, he felt something was bothering her. He decided to have a close eye on her to find what was troubling her. After Pinky entered he saw Anika's face become gloomy even before she started showing the jewels.
While Anika didn't even focus properly on the jewels , after pinky left she threw a tantrum to shivaay about the jewels. Anika who would had never ever let shivaay apologise to any one not even to her, refused to even listen to him and left their room. Shivaay was restless since anika didn't enter the room for a long time. When he had searched her, he found her sleeping in the study. Shivaay stroked her hair and came back after covering her with bed sheet.He was lost in thoughts. "Anika has time and again proved that, she is not bothered about jewels . She had always been not inclined to those things. She even gave the 10 crore bangles to kamini without a second thought. How can she be angry for such a thing? Something is wrong" felt shivaay. Suddenly he felt someone enter the room. It was Anika.
Anika entered the room sobbing. She stroked shivaay's hair and kissed him in his forehead. Shivaay felt her tear droplet fall in his face. She covered him with his rug and left the room. While he wanted to grab her and confront her the very instant. He knew her stubborn nature and that she would try to hide it. But Shivaay was now pretty sure that something was wrong. He was determined to solve it and make anika happy. Whenever Anika tried go portray herself in bad light shivaay felt something amiss. He felt that her conversations had a sober feel.
When she told money was important to her, shivaay's lowered head saw her eyes crying and fingers trembling through the reflection of the glass which was placed for decoration . What he saw next shook him. It was pinky's wide grin and bulbus eyes which spat venomous glee when Anika was saying that she merited money more. Shivaay realised that pinky still hated anika and had been acting fake before him. Every word anika had told about pinky flashed before him. Shivaay asked Anika to leave. He saw pinky clasp both her palms in joy while rest of the family aghast. He felt the raw hurt of anika.
He left the place and ordered khanna . When Anika was about to leave, shivaay tried to get her stay with him. But he also had a plan B having known his billi. It broke shivaay's heart when she took the keys from him but he felt her entire body tremble from her heart ache. Her misery pained him further. He was much more determined to solve her sorrows and to fight for their relationship.
Shivaay broke completely when he saw Anika break down in his guest house through the CCTV camera. Yes. It was his plan . He was determined to find who and what was bothering her.But what happened next shocked him much further. He was shocked when he saw Tia entering the guest house. Troubled and hurt , shivaay contacted tia while she was returning back to her home. After seeing how painful he was and knowing how pained Anika was, tia gave up the facade and told the truth about pinky and anika. She told about his birth secret and how anika has made herself miserable. She told how his mother was nothing short of a vampire for his life. From DNA test to shares problem every single thing she knew, she told shivaay. Shivaay was dumbstruck. He asked khanna and verified about the DNA test. Khannaji gave him the test report and told him how anika had asked him not to tell anyone about that.
Shivaay felt his ground slip away from his legs. The bitter truth which had nearly consumed his love was finally out in the open. Shivaay felt his entire soul collapse from the brutal facts. Realising that the only truth and light of his life was not there with him during his tough times, shivaay packed his minimal belongings and left to meet her.
Would he be able to survive being a non oberoi?
He would know soon but all he knew now was that he needed Anika for his mere existence.
