I had this thought from the episode when Kamini and Ranveer were talking and she tells that Ranveer was her friend's son. The way K held the thread around the dolls head and hung the doll. I felt that she is taking revenge for someone else who has been wronged and had then hung herself.

But as usual my brain does not think too deeply so didn't comment on that.

would also explain why Pinky has single mindedly been about him being the heir and not about him being happy . Like she raised a boy to do her bidding, not to go be happy and nonsense like that.

If surrogacy was the reason then why take only one kid? It should mean they take both kids right... Esp when they know the kid has heart condition. What if something happens to one of them... They have a backup in the second child. This keeping in mind that kid had been given birth with the sole purpose to be the first kid of the family.

I don't think surrogacy track fits here.
