I guess it is a matter of perspective about being taken for granted and this is mine.
BTW before I begin, almost half knows that I am a Shivvay fan so it's not like I enjoy bashing him ...lol
I look at relationships as a 5 day tests match not a 1 day one, so I guess what I mean is that I look at all the little facts adding up not the big bomb blast 😉

Things that shape a relationship do not happen overnight - they are gradual. Just the same way when the dynamics form in a relationship they do not happen overnight - they are gradual. When we say he is taking her for granted we do not mean just in relation to this particular incident. It is a culmination of a lot of times that this has happened.

So taking for granted is not something that needs to happen all the time, and as you rightly pointed out, he is pretty consistent with his affections and his trust when there are fair winds and the tide is smooth. It is the inconsistency of this affection and trust when the storms hit, that makes those changes in him which make him take her for granted.

Relationships cannot bear these sudden changes and they tend to start getting shaky because of these irregularities. That is what Pinky saw today. She saw the weakness that she could use against Annika - the chink in the armour of respect and trust that Shivvay and Annika wear. One poison dart through it is enough to kill this relationship and bury it.

If Shivvay's reaction to the stimuli 'sibling' was not so violent towards Annika then why DID Pinky see it?? That is my question to you.

Shivvay is constant and regular unless faced with a certain stimuli that turns him into the monster that he became on their wedding day. That monster that is raging, out of control and possessed, destroying all that comes in his path in his blind fury no matter that it is the woman he is willing to die for.

You have to also admit that Shivvay , more often, says hurtful things to Annika that she does to him. And ,Annika for her part, always forgives Shivvay very easily. She rarely puts up a fight. That is not a bad thing... don't misunderstand me but it can be a negative thing in the growth of a relationship.
Negative because of this passive and compromising attitude from Annika (the change) and the aggressive attitude from Shivvay (no change) that the relationship will suffer. Both have to be moving at the same pace and that is what this separation is going to bring about. That equal status.

Shivvay, pre-marriage and post marriage, has shown change but I am sorry, that change is not consistent. With the NT pushing his mum down the old Shivvay surfaced, today with Prinku the old Shivvay surfaced and I am sure you will see him surface more and more often as Annika becomes more and more passive in her attempt to keep the peace and her relationship that she is so afraid of losing.

That passive compromising nature of Annika is fanning the inconsistencies in Shivvay and encouraging them. He takes it for granted that Annika is always going to understand, brush it off and forgive with a sorry and a hug. You cannot use the 'kiss and feel better' medicine for every wound. The minor ones you can but that does not work with the major ones. For major wounds you need to make sure that you avoid the 'thing' that causes those wounds - fire, knives, swords etc.

This passive and understanding Annika IS going to reach a breaking point because if she does not this relationship will be a lie. She will not be true to either herself or Shivvay and that means the relationship is a lie.
Her putting her foot down (as we will see) will wake him up from his world that all is right and nothing needs to change, and galvanize him into action where he starts to think 'I need to fix this and once and for all.'

Just an example:
If my husband can register my brother in a boarding school that HE feels is a good choice for his future (no matter it is 5 lacs a month that I cannot afford to pay so I depend on him to pay it - trusting that it will never be thrown in my face) why can I not voice my opinion, forget make a decision, for his sister and her present situation?
Annika was not even trying to interfere I feel .. I think she was just trying to calm him down which almost everyone was trying to do.

u know if he didn't beleive in equality he wouldn't have let her yell at him for 4 episodes in a row in the jungle ... yelling at her is his right as much as her right to yell at him
Being able to yell back at your husband does not constitute equality... that is arguing and placing your point of view forward - Freedom of speech. We never said that he does not allow her to speak and place her point forward but that 'He Chooses' when she can and cannot do so. That is not equality - that is control in a relationship in just one person's hand.
He decides when she can voice her opinion and when she cannot saying it is a Family matter ( mother, sister etc etc). If he does not treat her like Family himself, in front of all present there, how does he expect Pinky to do that knowing how much she hates Annika.
Neither Pinky or Jhanvi are ever asked not to speak in Family matters and stay out. That is the status of a Bahu not what Shivvay has given Annika
