Drinking the 'cup of poison' in order to Obtain the Gem for his mother and the Amrita for his Family's immortality

The fury of a mother who has been blinded by her hate and envy, and is unable to see the person responsible for her son's happiness, churns up the calm seas that her child is sailing upon.

Just as the Asura's (Pinky/Kamini) and the Devas (Jhanvi/Om and the rest) churned up the seas that resulted in the cup of poison' that needed to be drunk so will the two camps in the OM do the same with this whirl pool that Pinky has started.

Shivvay is going to have to drink that cup of poison' so that he obtains the Gem' (Annika) for his mother in his quest for the Amrit' (Mahi's/ His identity) that will keep his Family together.

The Blood calls to its own.

It was almost uncanny that Gauri felt the need to seek out who was out there. That sister moment, that they shared, will be crucial for these two bahu's, who will need each other soon. Annika has never had anyone she sould confide in and has never had anyone lend her a sympathetic ear, so Gauri being there for her will prove so valuable especially now with Pinky going full steam ahead'.

It will be nice to see Om and Gauri work together to bring Pinky's truth to light. Om has a very deep affection for Annika and Gauri helping her will bring the two of them closer if they start working on team Annika.

A work in progress:

His rishta with his Family has formed since birth and you cannot tell me it was always like this even when he was younger and was a child. I am sure he had these 'relationships' break and make as he grew up and grew into them. We all do the same in our Families.

His marriage with Annika is a brand new relationship and he is still feeling his way around this relationship. He has no role model to follow as to what a perfect husband should be - he is learning as he goes along. He is new to this husband role and especially the role of a 'hands on' and 'involved' husband who adores his wife. Neither Tej nor Shakti are like this with their respective wives.
It probably would have been easier for him to be a husband to someone like Tia because that is how his dad and his uncles marriages are. But being a husband to Annika is proving to be an exception to the 'Oberoi Rule' ...lol

If Mahi's truth is revealed Shivvay will be like a king without a kingdom, a broken king, a devastated and weak king, a king who no longer has the authority to banish or punish.

Now imagine that this King has been defeated and dethroned after his 'Queen' has been separated from him. She is not there to protect him, make the decisions for him and essentially be strong for him till he recovers from this loss. How much more easier it is to defeat this king

first of all, you used the GIF of my fav sherlock home series produced by BBC so thank you for that 👏

- i dont have to go further to prove my point about the stark differences in writing here - one hooks you on that you cant step away to go to bathroom or you miss a clue which you are stupid enough to miss anyways as sherlock is far smarter 😆 but i hope you get my point. i just wrapped up watching an epi from the latest season with a friend and we both refused to move for an entirety of 1.5 hours even though its on netflix and we can easily go back and rewatch🤣

on the other hand, we have a set of writers showing women insulted left right centre to just grab eye balls and the said woman bearing it in the name of holding her marriage intact which was a forced marriage anyways and should have logically been annulled. i am pasting what rani said about anika and her characterization as she put it across much nicely than i could 😉

It's a serial so she can't leave because all this drama is happening for her. If she left Pinky would have no one to torture.

Logically, emotionally, and practically her brother should come first, but he doesn't. When her MIL hires some sleazy woman to be your mother, she throws herself down stairs, tells her to her face that she planned it all with no intention of stopping until she is thrown out and her little brother is exposed to kidnappers then you get the hell out 😆

Her whole character sketch was about surviving on her own, paying her own bills, and taking care of her brother, but now suddenly because she is married she can't function without him. The writing is stupid when it comes to her. Shivaay has been consistent throughout and ALWAYS stands up for his family no matter what. She on the other hand doesn't give a damn about her brother or her self-respect. I can't even hate Shivaay because he is just protecting his family.

She should be angry that her brother was kidnapped and that he threw that fact she is an orphan so callously in her face. She should be angry like Shivaay was angry because she accused his mother. The reality is she isn't meant to have rational or logical emotions she just cries and apologizes because that is her role.

now back to shivika equation - you and i have talked on other posts so nothing much to add here. my take stays the same, i understand shivaay's outburst when anika didnt keep quite about his mom in front of everyone, this shows that anika just looks at facts and doesnt know when to keep quite (probably the reason behind this is the stark reality that shivaay rightly did point out is because she has had no family in her life). she says things as they are, is innocent and naive enough to do that

i am also fine with the sorrys in the end, as u rightly mentioned relationships take time, need work but my issue is mainly with anika's character sketch

it looks like she has been sitting to be thrown out by her husband or his mother for the past 6 months which will probably happen next week now - given that pinky is on a war path and her son will only believe her. the acid in mehendi thing seems to be written to humiliate anika more and will show pinky as triumphant once again - either with anaika's hands being burnt or her being proven wrong one more time in front of everyone 😕

and yes, i am not saying she needs to walk away from her marriage but she needs to take a stance. a sister would have been angry for her brother, would have probably taken a temporary break and said listen figure out stuff with your mother and sort things out and then i can come back, i dont feel safe here - yes i am just saying things as i would have in this situation

PS: the characters are not as poignant as you, anisa and rest of the writers make them out to be. you have clearly put more thought here than the actual writer. we all project what we want to see on their writing to make it more bearable to watch when the crassness shown on screen gets too much but we cant move away from the show as we are all extremely attracted to NM - SC equation😉

Moreover I think the fact that Annika didn't want to be silent for 1 second made him returned in defensive mode😆. If shivaay wasn't there be sure that Pinky would have confessed the truth in front of everyone. Mahi was right, Annika is a damn good "question kumari"🤣

He is not ready to accept the reality but it will be necessary to open eyes and quickly because the witch gets on her sweeper and she even ready to cast spells.

Shivaay and Annika are not perfect (and that's why we love them). they are still learning to know and love each other progressivelly.

I totally understand shivaay's reaction even if I do not agree with what he said to annika. I know that in his place my reaction would have been worse, I would destroy the person who dared accused my mother😳.
Yes I agree. It is just the word 'mother' that brings so many emotions with it when we think of it. It was his reflex action not only to that accusation from Annika but I also think it was a reaction to the fact that NT almost hurt Sahil the second time and this time it was right under his nose.
The one thing that kind of struck me though was that Sahil was roaming freely in the house when he was supposed to stay hidden! How did that happen?? How did Shivvay or Annika not catch that?? How did Nt even know that Sahil was in the house to attempt pushing him down the stairs??

I want her to deceive Shivvay and secretly scale that Great Wall, so that while protecting Annika, Shivvay encounter her dark side for himself. I want him to be devastated and out of his mind. I want him to break down and collapse - not able to fight her back. I want him to regret that he allowed that breach of the wall in his blind rage and that he is as responsible as Pinky to leave Annika open to this assault.

I absolutely don't think that Annika has become a "submissive woman"😳. She saw the reality of things today. She knew that pinky did not like her but she believed it was because she had no NKK. But now she has seen that Pinky wants to destroy her and separate her from the man she loves more than her life, I think she has the right to cry and be sad.

Annika is the most compromising, kind, accommodating and trusting soul I have seen and I am sure I can speak for a lot of married woman out there, who at some point of their newly married life, have been an 'Annika'. We have been naive, innocent and trusting of people in our husbands family's, even the evil aunts and MIL, and have turned a blind eye to their machinations though it has stared us in the face. Not because we were dumb or because we enjoyed being humiliated, but because as a new DIL you really truly want to be loved and accepted by all.

Most of us come from stable family's with parents and we have this desire to be loved and accepted. Imagine how much more it is in Annika's case.

She getting a dose of reality and waking up to 'her stark reality' is not Pinky humiliating her (woh toh daily basis par hota hai) - it is seeing the extent to which her mother in law (the same one she protected from NT) can go to harm her. Pinky will not flinch from pushing Annika under a fast moving train, if she has to, to be rid of her and Annika needed to hear that.
She said as much today as she spewed her venom at the stunned girl witnessing the transformation before her very eyes!! She is aware that Pinky does not like her, that she believes that Annika is not worthy of Shivvay, that she blames her for distancing her from her son BUT she had not seen this 'Pure Evil and Dark' side till today.
If Annika was aware of the reality of this 'Dark Pinky' (as you pointed out), why was she so shocked at her transformation???

'How dare you touch my Pati's mother' I remember her yelling at NT, and physically standing in front of Pinky, shielding her.

Do you doubt this girl would stand in front of a bullet aimed at Shivvay's mother, without a second thought. in order to protect her??
Do you doubt, even for a second, that Pinky will not orchestrate a plot where a sniper would aim at her, in plain view of Annika, only to have Annika step in front of her??
Do you doubt that if Pinky had not revealed her true self that Annika would have blissfully carried on, unaware of the threat of death or even worse, looming over her??
Do you doubt that Pinky would be the last person Shivvay would doubt if that happened to Annika??

Do you seriously doubt that Annika was unaware of the reality of her situation with Pinky and how bad it was??

Shivaay and Annika are not perfect (and that's why we love them). they are still learning to know and love each other progressivelly.

Marriage takes time and as he said 'it breaks and mends each day ' but that makes it stronger not weaker, provided both want to mend it and not leave it broken.

Too much happened today on the Shivika front with Pinky who finally confessed her true feelings on Shivika. All of it burst like a dam, she can't pretend anymore.

That said, Anika was shattered to hear what Pinky had to say, poor thing wanted to give her a hug so badly. Could not believe her ears, what was being said. She, Anika would ever separate a mother from her only child, her son. That thought is so foreign to her, so laughable if she was not so wounded.

You raised a good point on Sahil. why DID SAAHIL LIE? That NT tried to push him down and that Pinky saved his life? HE must have been threatened by Pinky, that may come or maybe when Anika questions Sahil, he may spill the truth. Gosh.. what a pickle this duo are in. Shivaay will start fitting the pieces I hope and come with the right answer that his wife was right all along, it was Pinky behind the whole drama, the fake mother fiasco.

Om has raised the Q of why did she come, NT's purpose and she did not ask for a ransom during the kidnapping. The whole kidnapping seq was poorly shot/edited and did not make much sense, that seemed to have been executed in a rush for the MS. Sahil was spotted in the house and Pinky hatched another nefarious plot to bring Anika to her knees.

Now coming to Ranveer, what you said is plausible. I was skipping thro the PRiveer and the rudy-new girl...giving me the michmichis... Mahi could be back and Kameeni will play her ACE now. The ultimate weapon after being goaded by Pinky today in the market.

Another point why is Pinky so touchy about Prinku? More than Jhanvi who loves her child, but Pinky I do not get it.

The scene in the kitchen was beautiful among the 2 bros and their wives. The bros talking and the new SIL's bonding by the pool. Hope Om stops blaming Gauri for everything and getting mad at her. If GAurika support Anika when Mahi's truth comes out and also to help her when Pinky is attacking her front and centre, it will be good.

Dread to think of Shivaay when Anika is gone (albeit temporarily) and he is a King without a kingdom or subjects.

Why bring in her father here? In general when ppl challenge like that they say - mera naam badal dena... 😉 Other than trying to bring in another character who will be responsible for Mahi and Shivaay separation at birth, what can be another reason?

I found that strange as well.. normally people will say, "toh mera naam badal dena" OR "Mera naam Pinky Singh Oberoi" nahi etc etc
She is very fascinated with 'Baaps' and 'Lineage' eh??? Maybe she too is an orphan ..lol 😆
