Today is also the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram. A beautiful line about these two heroes born in vastly different time but connected by their bravery...
"Jag dwai upaje Brahman, Bhrugu aur Bajirao. Uun dhai rajputiya, in dhai turkaav"

The above line means two Brahmins were acclaimed worldwide, one was Parshuram who destroyed the rampaging Kshatriyas & the other was Bajirao who destroyed the Turks in a similar manner.

Huge respect and regards to Bajirao Peshwe. He hasn't really got his due credit in history, befitting his gigantic achievements.
Tfs the poem. Is it a legend that Parshuram got rid of Kshatriyas for 27 times?

Missed you on forum, where are you?!

Yes Parshuram rid the earth of Kshatriya 21 times. The Haihaya King Kartavirya Arjun stole the Kamdhenu cow from Parshuram's father's Jamadagni's ashram, his ministers beating the sage unconscious & destructing the ashram. Parshuram hence waged a war against him & killed him & many of his supporters in battle. To avenge their father's death Arjun's sons killed Jamadagni which is when Parshuram vowed to kill the Kshatriya race 21 times when he saw his aggrieved mother beat her chest 21 times.

I am not watching Bajirao any more. I got really bored with the show
