also few writers have wrote their own versions. Like The Palace of Illusions. Draupadi is shown in love with Karna in this book. I didnt like that. There are also few version from Bhim's point of view. The novel on which this south Indian movie supposed to be made is from Bhim's pint of view. There is another novel which was supposd to be Amba's point of view in which she and Bhisham were shown in love. There are many version. Just there are so many novels on Ramayana from different point of view-Ravan, Seeta, Laxman etc. I have read Raavan version novel. It was a nice.
These novels humanise the epics removing the magic, vardaan etc. And show a different perspective. They make u to introspect ur earlier opinion. But these are limited to very few people. And I do want some drama or a chapter to be included in school books. I remember reading a drama in my 9th class. It was from Duryodhan's perspective. Him.countering yudhistir on certain points. They were logical and very well made point. Like Duryodhan desrved the kingdom as he was the eldest son of the king at that time. And why shud he be liable to.give them his land.
ya i agree with u..
in fact i was always confused that why Yudisthir is nt looked down as much as Duryadhyan
what right did he have to stake Draupadi or even his brothers?
that the brothers did nt thrash him is their goodness..had it been in our yug am sure
Yudhisthir would have been dead by a sec 😆
true that Duryadhan is evil as evilness is ..true he tried to disrobe n dishonour her bt
the fact that karna was called suta putra by arjun n duryadhan accepts him for his
skill to counter arjun also makes me less critical of duryadhan..some ppl say he accepted
him due to his jealousy towards arjuna yet i do feel at least he is the only character
in Mahabharata who does nt see lineage bt true skill..
be it Drona Bhisma or even Arjun n Draupadi they all have said Karna Suta Putra
bt only Duryadhan seems to have judged him by his skill..this kind of intrigued me..
so new writers with new perspective of mahabharat is always a welcome.😊
in fact at times i wondered what right did pandavas had on throne when pandu did nt
father them?bt then i read n understood the kauravas too had almost no right as
both kauravas n pandavas were nt fathered by Vicitravira bt Vyasa alone..so the blood
line was already broken so what does it matter who sat on throne?it was the instance of end of
dynasty politics n the beginning of survival of the fittest n the best king to inherit the throne
from the times of Mahabharat.
