Hey there all the lovely people.
Ummm I am actually at a loss of words. I am in kind of dharm sankat should I appreciate the episode or go mad on the forced married. Yes people the deed is underway and will be completed tomorrow.
Starting with kanak realizing that this is going to be a real wedding. Trying to make people understand that she can't n won't marry any one just like that. She walks out on them.
Hence comes the about to be jilted groom. He listens well to her rant. And is surprisingly soft and tries reasoning with her. He brings out all her stuff that he had collected over the time they were destined to play hit and miss. Her bangles, mala, his ring on her finger. His level of patience is amazing, for kanak refuses to believe it as signal of God and considers all this co incidents. Only things that irks Uma Shankar is when Kanak talks lightly of God and his signals.
Kanak tried to walk out on him and says you can have your pick from any girl and to leave her alone. Uma Shankar holds her hand and says I choose you. He lifts her and brings her to the mandap. And there begins the rituals. She fights, bites and cries for help. But nobody comes forward. Alas the marriage continues.
Chemistry wise Kanak played her role aptly. She defied him challenged him and refused him. Uma Shankar was soft, patient and stoic all at the same time. A person determined, he knows he will get around one way or other. They are like oil and fire.
It might seem romantic dreamy to some. They will eventually come out of this phase and start agreeing/liking each other.
But for me it was troubled.
In the precap : kanak is crying while Uma Shankar ties the mangalsutra to her. She pushes him and runs away. But he looks on with certain content that no matter what n where she would run. She would come to him. That look was thought provoking.
