I love how this discussion is shaping up.
Coming to egotistical part - isn't refusing to take a rejection and pressuring a person a little bit egotistical. It is his faith and he is imposing that faith on her. He thinks he know it all as he got the signals. He just choose her and it's done. Only his choice matters because he got the signals. His wifi is 5g with God.
As for yes no yes no confusion. It's absolute long shot. You grab a girl and say you are the one. Get hitched. Not even giving a freaking thought about her family her background. Her relationship n marriage is a mile away he didn't consider her approval or disapproval. Just picked her up and got married.
I love your 'what he has married into'. It actually serves him right. He should be the one to clear up everything.
Kuch bhi in the name of creative liberty.

Or it could be wayyy better than that Anu😈 It seems Kanak is going to change her mind and pretends to agree to the shaadi when she realises that 'moochad' is Uma's henchman. Plan being, play along for a while, get hands on shop deeds and scraper! She has six months. If the cvs have any sense they'll show after a while, kanak walking out, uma and the whole idiot village coming to know about her being previously engaged, her 'to be' in laws backing her that the forced shaadi has no relevance or standing legally or morally. Then have kanak throw in uma's face the fact that if payal's engagement is set in stone and therefore she HAD to marry the 4 years gone younger brother pic, then how can kanak's marriage to uma be valid?! Her engagement and therefore yet to come marriage to mayank is the true marriage. Oh and have Ved truly be his mother's beta and arrest the whole god damned village, starting with the dumb priest for aiding and abetting a crime.Uma shanskaari can then for the next so many episodes, go around alternatively looking heartbroken, drowning in dharma sankat, offering water oblations to the sun, doing a100 surya namaskars every episode, opening the Ramayana at random pages without looking to see what god wants him to do next...all topless😈And the Ramayana random page should tell him... whats sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, either he accepts his marriage is void or payal's. If one of the pages tells him to remove the dark conract lens, that would be good too!😆

Loved the first part and hated the second. It was painful is an understatement.
It was not right on Uma's part to do what he did today and what he will do tomorrow. He has every right to believe in destiny, and God. He has every right to believe that she is the girl for him and he is her soulmate. He has every right to ask her to marry him, and thats it. Thats where it should've stopped, specially when she told him clearly that she doesn't believe in it and she cannot marry someone just like that. How hard is it for him to understand? He was shown as someone who can understand people and guide them the right way, but he lost his way today. If he believed in God so much as he claims he does, why couldn't he wait for the girl to come to him happily? If she is meant for him, wouldn't Kanak have a change of heart and come to him when God decides so? Why was it so important for Uma to get married that very day? Wouldn't the next year's Shivratri day as auspicious as the current one? Does he think that if he lets her go now, she will never come back? But isnt it completely against what he is shown to believe in? He asked her that they met in Kerala, Pushkar and Ladno, then why didnt he think that she can come back next year(if God desires) to the same place and get married to him ?Well its a big blunder on Uma's part. He shouldn't have done it, but now that he did, it will be interesting to see how he takes this relation forward.Absolutely hated the spectators of this forced shaadi. For them Uma is God, for them Uma is someone every girl would desire etc, but that doesnt mean it should be the same for others. The girl was crying for help, she is in an unknown place, admist total strangers and in the name of blind belief is being forced into a lifelong relationship, and no one has a voice to go against it? And instead they were dancing in Joy and throwing flowers with smiles. How pathetic.

I hate to defend the Caveman eerm Godman! But, you know I like to irritate you😛 Hiya Anu 😆Onto my point. Y today? Cuz God said so! He married them already today with Sindoor n Mala... so Uma is just finishing the job with mangalsutra n pheras within time alotted by Pandit. God decided date n time. All other rasams done. The man is just being prompt and following through on divine determination on the destined date and time 🤣What had me stumped is how does she know she is single and able to mingle... I mean marry?😕 But, the answer to my idiocy is God can't be wrong!🤣 Darn this UmaShankar - we can't defeat his Godness!
