New member here.. was just thinking abt the couples on d show..

The men have all Lord Shiva's names and the ladies Goddess Parvati.. at least gauri n soumya..

So was wondering if Annika is short for Annapurna maybe? Does Annika in itself mean something?

Annika is a Swedish diminutive of Anna,meaning"grace, gracious, graceful, favored".Annika is also an Indian name, from Sanskrit, a name of the goddess Durga.

Annika is another name of goddess durga which means beautiful... like durga she is also someone who acts like a shield for those around her safe guarding them from evil... u can very well understand this from every single time she had saved shivaay fron threat..

Ok don't get shocked... am a christian yes... but my friend had once explained a lot about the name reason behind every character of this serial😆 including those of vamps😆

Yes, all leading ladies have Goddess Durga names...

Anika in Sanskrit means graceful, brilliance or sweet faced. Anika is name of Goddess Durga. The name is derived from Sanskrit word Aneek which literary means 'collection, group, mass, face, appearance'.

Even Ishana was also name of Goddess Durga.

ACCORDING TO SOME SCRIPTURES GODDESS DURGA IS LORD SHIVA'S WIFE!!!

HENCE THE NAMES ARE SYMBOLIC REPRESENTATION OF UNDYING LOVE AND DEVOTION!!
