Taking a break from NA😆

Why did the old movies ALWAYS have a sister who would be raped and would then commit suicide, followed by a revenge sage with ample bloodshed and dhishoom dhishoom.. Literally every second movie of Suneil Shetty had that story.. Some Ajay Devgn movies too.. I ask why? What was the obsession with this story line? Did they not have Tarans and Anupamas and Rajeevs to tell them how repetitive they are becoming? Why did the audience watch such movies.. Why? why?

I think thy might be remake of south movies, common theme in south movies... I could be wrong

If not avenging sister's rapist, hero has to undergo immense suffering to earn money for her dowry...

Either way ladki was a boj

And in BW movies character roles were given only a little more importance than the furniture shown onscreen

They needed an excuse to show rape scene 😲 huh?

But making her commit suicide? That was even worse

to make it easy for the hero to his macho-ness. If the sister gets raped then somehow hero is involved. Just get her raped and make her die. Audience ka libido bhi satisfied ho gaya, hero ka heropanti dikhana bhi aasan ho gaya aur movie ka plot bhi ho gayi.

Agar heroine gets raped toh nacha-gaana ka kya hoga..

How about bhabhi? There is no dearth of women relations na? I mean, in Narsimha, when Sunny was telling his sad sob story of past that made him a gunda, every member of his family was killed in riots but only his sister was raped who then commits suicide.. I mean, come on

Agar bhabhi gets raped ho to bhaiya hai na..agar bhabhi maa samaan ho aur widow ho to chance hai warna nahi..dukhiyari behen is an easy target..

and the suicide part...it's easy to make her commit suicide otherwise there would be other things 1. court case 2. trauma and take care of behen 3. dealing with soceity ...just let her die so that hero can concentrate solely on taking revenge
