PART 40
Raman shouted ishita's name loudly while she hanged lifelessly on him. soon everyone crowded around Ishra. Raman was too numb to react while blood started oozing out.
Policemen arrested the man who shot ishita in a jiffy. Mihir -bhai, let's take bhabhi to hospital. He said shaking Raman breaking his trance.
Raman look at mihir, he said again-bhai, bhabhi ko goli lagi hai. Let's take her to hospital.
Raman realised what he is telling. He picked ishita in his arms and ran to his car. He sat on back seat taking ishita's head in his lap while mihir start driving.
Raman -ishita, open ur eyes. Bachcha please open ur eyes. He was saying while tears were flowing continuously from his eyes.
Mihir-bhabhi thik ho jayengi bhai. Don't worry. He said but like Raman couldn't see or hear anything other then the sound of bullet and her in pool of blood.
Mihir tried again to talk but raman said-drive faster mihir.
On the other hand, mla got happy hearing that Raman's wife got shot.
Mla -now he can't come to court today. My lawyer will take another date and before that day I will kill both of them. Saying so he smirked.
Soon Raman reached hospital. He scooped ishita in his arms and ran inside the hospital shouting for help.
Dr came out hearing this.raman saw him and said-treat my wife, she got shot.
Dr-i can't treat her it's police case .
Raman got angry hearing this and clutched his collar in anger.
Raman -kar meri biwi ke illaaj, agar usse kuch hua, I will burn u alive. He roared making the doctor scare.
Dr was about to say something when ashok came and told him to start the treatment.
Soon ishita was taken to OT and operation got started while Raman sat on the chair lifelessly. He started remembering all the lovely moments they spend together. How she came into his life as a stranger and now she has become his life. He closed his eyes and prayed -matarani, please make my ishita OK. U know naa, I can't live without her.
It was more then half an hour since ishita get inside. Doctor take out the bullet from her body and was cleaning the wound when ishita open her eyes. She looked at the wall clock and saw it was showing 10.15.
She removed her oxygen mask and said meekly-is my husband outside.
Dr saw this and said -what r u doing, u shouldn't remove this mask. He said making her wear the mask again when she said-i am good, aap boliye, mere pati hai baahar.
Dr-yes.
Ishita-call him inside.
Dr-what, he is not allowed inside.
Ishita tried to get up saying, then let me go to him.
Dr make her lay down and signalled the nurse to call raman. Nurse get out of OT, raman ran to ask ishita's condition only to hear that she is calling him. He smiled widely hearing this and went inside.
He went to her and cupped her face pecking her temple softly.
Raman -how r u jaan, why u did this. How could u do so with me. Agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh, he was saying when ishita said-aap court nahi gaye. She said with great difficulty.
Raman was shocked on her question and said-r u mad, I can't go anywhere leaving u. Nothing is important then u for me. Main kahin nahi jaane wala.
Ishita-please jaiye raman, u r needed there. Agar aap nahi gaye toh aaj sach haar jayega, jhooth jeet jayega. And next time no-one with fight for justice. She said breathing heavily.
Raman cried and said-but I can't go leaving u in this condition.
Ishita-u have to go Raman. Aapko jaana hoga aur jeetna bhi hoga. U can't let then win.
Raman -my junior will take another date jaan, u need me more then anyone else.
Ishita-no Raman, this day will not come again. Today everyone is looking at u for justice. U have to go, jaiye raman aur jeet kar aaiye.
Raman -no jaan, I will not go leaving u alone. He said crying.
Ishita-i am not alone raman, ur love is with me. Mujhe kuch nahi hoga, aap jaa kar uss mla aur uske bete ko saza dilaiye. I want to see them in jail. Aap karenge naa aisa. She said breathing heavily.
Dr -aap please jyada mat boliye.
Ishita-please Raman, for ur ishita, for ur jaan. Please go Raman. How can u leave them, they tried to kill ur jaan.u can't let them go. Remember u take this case to give justice to that girl. Today u can't be selfish and back out.aapko usse nyay(justice) dilana hoga .
Raman wiped his tears hearing her and said-u r right, I can't let them go. I will go and make them punish. Par tumhe ek vada karna hoga, tum khud ko marne nahi dogi. U will keep urself safe for me. Promise me jaan that u will not let urself die. He said taking her hands in his.
Ishita smiled meekly and said-i am ur wife and I never go anywhere without taking ur permission. Kabhi ghar ke baahar bhi aapse puche bina nahi gayi. Then how can I go leaving u without ur permission Raman. I promise, I will not allow myself even to die. U go and win the case. Aap dekhna aapko pehli Mubarakbaad main hi dungi. Go Raman go.
Raman pecked her forehead and said-always remember jaan, I love u alot. Agar tu nahi toh main bhi nahi.
Ishita-main bhi houngi aur Aap bhi. Bas woh nahi honge Raman. Go and finish them. She said and he was going when he felt a tug on his hand.
He turn and heard her saying-i love u too raman.
Raman went out smiling while ishita was just looking at him going.
On the other hand, everyone was waiting for Raman.
Lawyer of mla said-ur honour, it's more then an hour and advocate bhalla is not reached the court yet. Lagta hai unhe pata chal gaya hai ki woh yeh case haarne wale hai.
Judge look at raman's assistant and asked-where is Mr bhalla.
Junior-someone has shot his wife ur honour, so he is in hospital with him.
Judge -oh, so do u guys want another date.
Junior -I am trying to contact him but he is not picking the call.
Judge-ok then I think I should, he was saying when everyone heard, I am here ur honour.
Everyone turned and saw raman standing. His eyes were red and puffy due to continuous crying but he was confident as ever.
Judge-if u want I can give another date,
Raman cut him and said-no need ur honour,i am here to proceed my case. If u want to help me then don't delay the justice.
Judge nodded and raman started the case proceedings.
Raman -before starting the case proceedings I want u to take phones from everyone and not let anyone go out in mid. As I have been threatened and attacked many times. Even my wife is in hospital fighting for her life. I want her to be safe, so kindly if u can do it.
Judge ordered the police to close the gates and take mobile from everyone. Mla who was going out to give instructions to his men, too had to sit there.
Soon the proceedings started.Raman showed all evidences and proofs he has along with the live footage and his convo with mla. His lawyer couldn't stand against raman for long and soon Mla's son was proved guilty.
Mla and his son got convicted and sent to jail for 14 years for raping the girl too brutally and attempt to kill ishita.
Everyone clapped for Raman while he sat on his chair feeling relieved but too sad without her.
Raman -main jeet gaya ishita, tumhara Raman jeet gaya but u r not with me to congratulate me. Come to me baby, he was thinking about her.
That's when his phone rang, he picked it in a jiffy seeing mihir's number.
Raman -hello mihir, how is ishita.
Ishita -congratulations advocate Raman Kumar bhalla ji, aap jeet gaye.
Raman cried hearing her voice and said-hum jeet gaye jaan, hum jeet gaye.
