Bravo African queen. Ive said this on some post as well. Vandana doesnt have to like maya. Its not by force. Vandana have lived around saanj, knows her good quality and she knows how much saanj care for her family. What does she know about maya...nothing except she was abused. Usually if your mother in law doesnt like you, an you know it. Then you should try to make her like you.
But maya never tried. Vandana isn't a bad parent. She just goes overboard with tradition. She may not be arjun real mother, but she did a lot just by raising him an giving him the love he needs. She wants whats best for him, which is a plus as well. For a step mom, she never differentiate her kids or show favouritism. Thats why arjun grew up with so much love.
First impression is always important, why because parents will never forget it. Vandana became a mama bear seeing that glass break. Her fear hightens more when the priest talk about maya love. Even i don't agree with her confronting them an dragging arjun. But other then that shes not wrong.
I absolutely love the compareson between the chess games. What better way to say it. When saanj drags arjun to maya , she made the call silencing vandana. When she challenge maya by telling her to come out or she will marry arjun. She knew what button to push her to come out. And she did. When she was leaving an arjun begs her not to go, she was in control of him unknowingly. All this time shes the one letting arjun make her weak, but she doesnt know she has the power to make him bend on his knee.
Everyone saw how he panicked when she wanted to go to singapore. Lets not forget what he told her. Saanj may not use manipulation to win the game, but if she think rarionally. She might actually become a good opponent for maya. I will get my fingures cross.
