He is drunk, he is raging and he has lost it. completely.
and then an innocent family walks into his land of rage and madness.
he sees his own life and those who dared to mess with that life.. in them.
and so he rages at them.
terrifies them.
attacks them.
and finally points his gun at the terrified man as his wife pleads to let her man go and their little girl cries helplessly.
Suraj is relentless, unforgiving, cruel.. and a complete train wreck here.
but his choice of dialogues are intriguing.
all about POWER.
being good has done no favours to him.
Imli left him for Vivaan.
His father is right. Power rules supreme.
He will be so powerful that no one will ever dare to hurt him.
haasil, haar, power, dard.. HUM.
what kind of toxic emotions are these than imli evoked in him?
where is she in the equation?
it is all about HIM.
How dare she left me?
How dare she chose someone else over me?

what is love if not unconditional. limitless. boundless.
what is love if not you and only you. first, foremost and forever.
if 'I' enters into that equation... that ain't love.

as guardian Angel for the terrified family facing wrath of Suraj.

and then there is an epic face-off.
both pointing their guns at each other.
that intensity!
together they are supernova.
(can we have that intensity back sans darkness?)

what is love?
When faced with the future of a certain death all you wish for is your loved one's happiness.. THAT is love.
When you have your spirits crushed and razed by the world and have no strength left to fight for yourself.. yet you break iron shackles and chains and take on the world to protect your loved one... THAT is love.
When you won't give up on your ego/self respect to protect your own self but raze it to grounds for your loved one... THAT is love.
When you know it is your life that is in penultimate danger not your loved one's.. yet you make sure your loved one reaches safe zone first... THAT is love.
When you would stare your nemesis right in his eyes and says 'eff off' but won't bow down to hurt your loved one even if that means starving till death .. THAT is love.
When your loved one comes first, foremost and forever for you... THAT is love.
