He is a ideal father so far. And one more thing if relationship stands on indebted things. .It is no less than suffocated life. If dev does not marry sona, bejoy would not abandon her. He is there like a pillar next to her. Which is a most beautiful thing in the serial.

@Bold - Agree. Every girl deserve a father like Bijoy.

@Red - So true N I agree.Saying big things in bedroom does not matter.Unless he stand by what he said in the bedroom. So for me also Dev has not proved to be good husband. After marriage he know Ish did not accepted Sona.He did not do anything to mend their relation.GKB always taunt Sona.Called her Black Shadow,Scorpion N Call her Bangalan.Yet Dev did not strongly opposed it.Saying I Love You is easy. But you have to prove U r love by protecting ur lover/Wife 's respect n honor.Dev failed in this .

Happy New Year, Pramila. Yes, you kind of echoed my complaints with the show. There is a difference between being a good person and being a good husband. Dev might be a good person in general and good son, he has not proven him to be a good husband yet. A good husband as we know isn't the one who tells you filmy dialogue in the bedroom but who shows the strength of his commitment in public without hesitation. Dev's attitude towards Sonakshi until now has been that of a guilty pleasure. As if she is his mistress that he has got into the house so if he stands up for her, it will be against his family's honour.

I don't see why it's hard to know that the woman you claim to love and the woman you legally married is being insulted and belittled by your family and yet stay silent day after day and try to show your inadequate love in the bedroom? May be because since I love my husband very much and I won't let even my mother (by the way, I was also raised by a single mother like Dev) insult him even once nor I will let my husband insult my mother, I can't imagine how someone can watch their loved ones being treated like crap even by another loved one.

Dev yet to put a stop to Sonakshi's insults and now he has practically handed over her dignity and self-respect to his family on a silver platter to stomp on by his lies where he involved Sonakshi. Watch the episode today or read the written update and let me know if Dev grew a spine finally. But since Ishwari ran away aka used her Trump card, I doubt Dev will say anything today beyond apologizing to her.

Same here. I am an only daughter of my mother who is a single divorced woman. Like your husband, my husband also calls my mother, Maa and is the son she never had. It's all about how you were raised and what you are willing to put up with. Just wait and watch what happens today. The truth of Ishwari and Dev's so called lofty ideas of love will be revealed shortly.

tia I too was raised by single mother and I have no qualms in announcing it. I am blissfully married and even during registering my profile for the matrimonial sites I never shun to declare that I was raised by a divorcee. I was very clear that my in law family should be able to respect my mom with due honor. If any one had a second thought on it, I openly rejected the alliance. Today my husband is more like an elder son to my mom. I have a younger brother and he finds a sibling in my husband. Today's women are far more clear and focussed in their thoughts and actions.wish our cv met at least one or two of them before then penned the character of sona

Dev failed again, Tia. Selective hearing and blasting. Did not stand up for Sona in her absence (yet again). I am back at throwing brickbats at him.
Thankfully told the truth to his mother, but pointless now - too late! ishwari was so spiteful towards Sona yesterday. Gave me a depression.

Unfortunately Sia, he will never grow a spine in front of his mother. People don't change overnight. He is a man who has always had lofty dialogues to say in bedroom which he never followed up in public. Some people used to defend Dev when he stayed silent in front of Radha or Ishwari saying that Dev does not talk back to elders. Yesterday he did talk back to Bijoy who is his elders when he spoke against Ishwari. That means he does talk back to elders when the person they are insulting matters to him. Which also concludes that Sonakshi does not matter to him since he never stood up for her. It brings back to my previous point, people fight for things that matters to them. The only thing people lie for, take shortcut or try to get for cheap and with least effort is the thing that they least value. People don't try to take short cut in board exam if getting a good result is life and death situation for them. They take short cut in unit test because they don't give a damn. Expecting him to be any different which he has never been will be expecting a donkey to turn horse overnight. People don't change so soon. However I am sorry that he broke so many of your expectations.

I think I got misled by Thursday's episode. I guess they added that bit separately to pacify people. Dev is a butchered character. After 220 episodes, he is still blindfolded by Ishwari's antics.
I hope Sonakshi understands it and deals with them in Bijoy form. I guess that's the only way, because she may again fall into this honey trap. What a sad situation, which in fact is reality for so many women.
