OK. I had to gather up a lot of courage to even make this post and am still not sure it's a good idea given the kind of passionate discussions going on here about Dev's new stupidity. Yes, even stupidity would be small word for it. He deserves every word he is being called by people here.
But what I was thinking was that does he deserve being called a criminal or a pervert?... For being called cheating on his wife or playing with his body??...i mean can we go to that extreme.
Just here me out.
What dev knows is that how much sona wants this baby and how happy she is that this has brought her ishwari 'S love. U can call him coward here that he thinks of this way rather than just having a talk with his mom about his wife. His justification (not mine or of any forum members I know) is that he doesn't want to break her dream for even a day when he would tell her she is not pregnant and then pursue this procedure or treatment together. This if course, legally, morally and ethical wrong. He is obviously over assuming his 'rights"on her body as u people say.
But does this make him a criminal?
He is not risking her life, subjecting her to a dangerous procedure, selling her body parts, removing some body part, doing something against her wishes or doing something she wouldn't want. Or doing something for himself... He knows this baby and more importantly change in ishwari probably means more to her than eve. Himself.
So what we can blame him for is not telling his wife about a procedure HER body is to go through. He is of course guilty of that
But considering what I just said can he be really called a criminal playing with his wifes body?

Honestly I don't know am not sure of what I just said. Even I am confused. Sometimes I feel what I am saying is right and sometimes not. So really want to hear your views. I will hear u out. Just not fighting please??

Medicating a consenting adult without their permission is a crime. Period.
Will him and the doctor do that before caught-yet to be seen

OK. That he is guilty of thinking of make her undergo this treatment without her consent is true. I can't argue with that. But does the intention and motive really hold no value. Of that I am still confused.

Tell me something..lets say a woman is in coma and she absolutely wanted to have kids before she slipped into coma., Now the husband decides lets me perform all these procesures and impregnante her.. So that when she wakes up one day she would be a mother... Does it sound like a criminal offense or husband is only wishing to make his wife happy? May be it is a horrible example but atleast in this case the husband has legal rights to decide for wife even though the whole thing is inhumane and morally wrong...

In out case atleast sona is not in coma , so dev should actually try to follow the protocol and try to have kids naturally for atleast 6-12 months and then move to next stage. But he is taking a short cut and trying yo preserve this moms new found love for his wife.. Where as he is the one who should have actually facililated that ishu loved sona with out baby in the picture... Ohh but thats hard work and dev dixit doesnt believe in that especially when his mom is in pic. For him telling truth and trying for kids is also hardwork .. So he wants to just jump the line and start infertility treatments on his wife (is that even needed?? May be she would get preganant on her own!! ) why pump so many drugs into her body - there are many side effects of these drugs.. Ans that too with out her knowing what she is going to go thru... It is criminal offense if he ends up doing what he is planning..
In sonas words " acche intentions ka kya woh achar dalegi?".. Just tell ger the truth dude

Yes but here he has been already branded a criminal who is playing with his wife's body, and he is being accused and treated like any other common criminal

Here as in this forum? This is a virtual place where a fictional character is being discussed. Every viewer has their own perception and that's what each one of us are sharing.

Stalking, arson, taking signatures wrongly, etc are crimes too when proved in a court of law.

People are simply sharing their take on how the story is unfolding.

Okay let's take a scenario. Say someone tells Sonakshi that Dev has cancer and he needs to get cancer medication. She doesn't check the reports (say she is not a doctor here), she doesn't tell Dev, she doesn't research the risks involved and learn anything about the procedure and she doesn't take a second opinion thinking that it will hurt Dev. So she just gives the doctor carte blanche to do an experimental medical procedure on Dev's body by giving him cancer treatment.
Will you say her intention matters a whit then?

Sonakshi and Dev have been married for a couple of months at most, and has been intimate for less time than that. They were not even trying for a baby. What gave Dev right to lie to her about her pregnancy report? Only so that his mother can shower her temporary fake love on Sonakshi as the vessel carrying Dev's baby?

Was that necessary to lie? Was it necessary to take risks with Sonakshi's body without her consent? No. It wasn't. What Dev did is in every sense of the word, a criminal offence.

There's no two words for it. Consent is a concept India needs to learn. The only motive matters in terms of criminal offence is if it was done in self-defense (in case of murder) or to preserve a life. Which in this case DOES NOT APPLY.

In India it's a crime to do anything with a patient/human-being without letting him/her know if it's an adult. Refer to Article 21 of Indian Comstitution. Not sure if big business tycoons like Dev will go into jail for this or not because power plays big role in India while implementing laws. Crime Patrol showed many such episodes where lower middle class and middle class people were caught and arrested.

In first world countries for such crime irrespective of your money and position in the society, you will definitely get punished. Consent is one of the key aspect here and doctors dont even touch your body without explaining what he is doing. That says a lot.

So yeah in all corners of the world where law and constitution exists, Dev is a criminal.
