Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhira refuses to observe Karwachauth fast, leaving Armaan stunned

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Priyanshu jokingly advises Rihan to get a girlfriend, saying that people might start assuming they are a couple. Taking the conversation seriously, Rihan admits that he has feelings for Abhira, which instantly angers Armaan.

Just then, someone knocks on the door, informing them that the seniors have called for them. While Abhira hesitates to go, Alia and Lavanya convince her to face the situation confidently. Armaan, too, is reluctant, but the boy insists he cannot afford to upset the seniors.

Abhira and Armaan Trapped in a Ragging Prank

Upon reaching, Abhira and Armaan realise they've been trapped in a raging prank. A senior girl instructs Armaan to propose to any girl present, and he ends up choosing Abhira, leaving both visibly awkward.

The seniors then take things further by asking Abhira to flirt with Armaan, and later demand that they kiss. Both feel extremely uncomfortable, but before things go too far, the warden steps in, catches them red-handed, and immediately puts an end to the ragging session. She warns everyone and instructs them to return to their respective rooms.

Abhira and Armaan’s Chemistry Becomes the Talk of the Hostel

Back in their rooms, Alia and Lavanya discuss the undeniable chemistry between Abhira and Armaan. Abhira clarifies that Armaan proposed only because the seniors forced him, but Lavanya teases her for blushing whenever his name comes up.

Meanwhile, in Armaan's room, Rihan expresses his desire to be with Abhira. Priyanshu teasingly mentions that Armaan and Abhira were about to kiss before the warden interrupted. Armaan defends himself, saying both of them were clearly uncomfortable, while everyone else found it entertaining.

Armaan Warns Rihan to Stay in Limits

When Rihan declares that Abhira is "his," Armaan loses his temper and sternly warns him never to talk about her that way again. Priyanshu then questions Armaan about why he's so agitated whenever it comes to Abhira. Later, Abhira and Armaan cross paths and can't help but smile shyly at each other.

Kajal and Vidya Clash Over Saree Selection

Meanwhile, at the Poddar house, Manisha picks out a saree for herself, and Vidya compliments her choice. However, when Vidya and Kajal end up selecting sarees in the same shade, it sparks an argument between them.

To put an end to the squabble, Kaveri cuts the saree in half and tells both to wear it. She then assigns Tanya the responsibility of handling Karwachauth preparations. Vidya feels insulted, while Kajal comments that if Vidya continues doing everything herself, the younger women of the family will never learn.

The discussion soon shifts to Abhira, and Kajal calls Vidya a "flipper" for constantly changing sides — sometimes supporting Abhira, sometimes Geetanjali, and then Abhira again. Vidya demands an apology, but Kajal refuses, claiming she only spoke the truth. Kaveri steps in and orders Kajal to apologise, which she does reluctantly.

Maira’s Romantic Plans Surprise Abhira

Back at the hostel, Alia and Lavanya get into a heated argument, prompting Abhira to intervene and calm things down. Later, Abhira has a conversation with Maira, who excitedly tells her that she's asked Armaan to take her out for a romantic movie. Amused, Abhira remarks that kids these days are quite sharp. Soon after, Abhira receives a bouquet and assumes it's from Armaan, prompting her to go confront him.

In the precap, Maira curiously asks Abhira if she plans to observe the Karwachauth fast. Abhira firmly replies that she isn’t married, dismissing the idea. Later, Armaan approaches Abhira with a bowl of kheer, mentioning that he and his roommates prepared it together.

Abhira accepts the bowl and casually advises him not to fast the next day. Surprised, Armaan asks her the reason behind it, to which Abhira reveals that she herself won’t be keeping the fast. After she walks away, Armaan is left deep in thought, wondering if Abhira truly meant what she said and whether she will actually refrain from fasting.
