Deepika Padukone replaces Sonam Kapoor!

It was a rather unfortunate night for actress Sonam Kapoor at a recently held award show. The actress, who paid a tribute to yesteryear actress Rekha, with a performance on her popular songs, was replaced by Deepika Padukone, last minute, when it came to give away the award.

According to a report in a tabloid, Sonam was initially supposed to present the Lifetime Achievement award to Rekha. But eventually, the honour was done by Deepika, who confirmed her presence last minute at the event.

Interestingly, Deepika attended the show on one condition, that she would be given the opportunity to present the award. The organizers, who wanted more stars in attendance, agreed for the same, leaving Sonam in a fix.

Reportedly, the actor left the event in a huff and later gave an earful to the organizers.

All these things did happen so it's not a PR invention. It's quite natural it'd be reported when some things seem unfair (award) and others happened live (Ranveer comment).

Also, your comment could have been impactful if you had gotten your facts right ; she wasn't talking about her wage but her and Kareena's movie budget.

Lastly , the Kareena thing was a blind so it won't be easy to state that it came from Sonam's PR or that it was even true.

It seems There sure was some ugly manipulation behind the scenes in this show..

Sonam is usually enthusiastic about sharing pics and looks from n event on Instagram..but she has not mentioned this event at all..even when she paid a tribute to rekha and her brother won n award..there was just one tweet mentioning his award..

THIS^^ These two ladies are where they are thanks to their PR.

Who would have thought that the girl singing "Romeo" and the one starring in "Break Ke Bad" would become such big stars.

It's sad that PR is what it takes to create a star and not talent and aura.
