The issue isn't about the organizers wanting Deepika at their event. It lies with Deepika demanding to be awarded to attend and then demanding to present an award ; task for which someone was already selected.

Sonam danced in hommage to Rekha so I think it was pretty obvious she'd be the one doing the task.

Dear, what makes you think Sonam wouldnt have made such demands... every Star wants things as per their choice... DP is at the top so she gets what she demands... Had Sonam been at the top she wouldve demanded and gotten what she wanted.

Sonam's friends and fans have a right to be upset when clearly Sonam seemed the most deserving one here...

Deepika is known for doing that (not giving anything freely even her time) ; the fashion icon didn't seemed enough for her taste it seems.
Also, she made a lot of fashion faux-pas and her fashion statement isn't clear nor did any of her outifits leave a lasting impression. It's quite natural that people would wonder how and why she won.

I didn't find her dress ugly at the award ceremonie but I don't think she carried it well.

Whether Alia deserved the award or not... Whether DP has fashion sense or not... The only thing coming out of this is that Sonam is a cry baby. Being hurt for not getting an award is still ok... But this... just cause DP asked the organizers something, didnt mean they had to give it... it means she is more important then sonam... Also that Style Icon award going to DP statement, shows how Sonam simply hates DP, and can't digest DP getting anything...
