Can we justify Maya ? - Page 2

I'm not justifying Maya for her actions. What she did to Saanjh is absolutely wrong. Even if she is negative now, I don't mind.However, I don't think she is completely negative with all these vulnerabilities. She has a troubled past. Maya has never stopped Jhanvi from going out & meeting her friends. She is only stopping her from meeting Ashwin & that is quite justified. She is in a trauma & only Arjun can be a medicine for her. Once she comes to normal, Maya & Arjun can fall in love with each other.

No, Maya's actions cannot be justified. This show gives a great insight into Maya, about her past and her suffering and so it is possible to understand her or sympathise with her. But that doesn't mean that her actions can be excused. The truth is her behaviour will affect Arjun and those around him and will finally, affect her as well.

v just luk things from her perspective... Maaya has no interest in harming Saanjh..she jst want to convey to Saanjh abt her feelings for Arjun in her own style...

If u luk at Arjun he was angry at Maaya he goes n shouts at her widout thinking she is his boss...its his nature... likewise Maaya has her own style..

Maaya is a nt a regular girl who will accept watever life gives..She believes in getting things she likes by hook or crook n moulding everything around as per her wish n command...

perfectly said! The only reason she doesnt like saanjh is because she probably thinks arjun will fall in love with saanjh and is too close to her. Orherwise she doesnt have much reason to harm anyone

maya is an intriguing character hence talk of the town... people can't help but try to understnd and analyze where she is coming from... we see less female characters like that and when the character is potrayed so flawlessly one cant help but discuss... the backstory of maya has not been told to justify her for now...

Well, i appreciate your thoughts, but plz, don't tell Maya a villain without knowing her side. And none is giving justifications. they are just disscussing and analyzing the character! come on man, maya's character has her own beauty. if it comes like most other characters where vamp tries to destroy someone without any cause or like that, then there will be no uniqueness! most of the male leads are portrayed like this, sinful. so why can't be a female lead? and Beyhadh is a dark story. A dark story is full of mysteries and sinful, where eventually there is a weakness in the character. As a writer, yes i know what a grey character is. once you read or write them, it will be more easy to understand what dark story means. Maya's biggest weakness is her obsession(though not true in every case) and her fear. the story is all about them yaar! and it takes a lot of time to justofy a grey character cuz its mixed! once it is fully untangled, you can surely put your opinion! :)
