Can we justify Maya ?

This is my first post here
AND i really dont get it why ppl are trying to prove that maya is right or maya is helpless or that maya is not completely wrong 😕 ?


I am really loving jenny's and aneri's performance on the show but their characters have to be accepted as written .

Right from the promos it was clear that maya is going to be the negative lead like kvb in saubhagyawati bhava ...so why are ppl objecting to that.

Maya has a troubled past and i can sympathize with that but how can one justify her behaviour towards saanjh or even take it lightly ??Waving a knife on somebody's face ,or inviting to one's house and openly threatening ...which normal being does that?

Not everyone gets to lead a happy childhood and i can tell you that coz my father too had faced a lot of hardships but today he is a very sweet and helpful person .Ofcourse Maya is diff. She is mentally a bit disturbed ,her behaviour isnt normal
When it comes to loving ppl.She loves her mother but wants her all for herself...no proper social life...i feel bad for maya's mom too ...poor soul has to deal with two psychos .

Maya is grey or black...why are ppl wasting energy on discussing that.She is nt normal , and OBSESSED NOT POSSESSIVE about Arjun.What maya's father did with her ...she followed that with
Saanjh.Even when saanjh came to meet maya shemade her wait for 5 hrs to satisfy her own ego.

Maya today is egoistic ,completely selfish and obsessive ...then how can one say she is good .For me(i am speaking only abt character) she is a torture like her father...no better than him .

Not just maya many females are mentally torturedand physically abused which is bmvery very sad but they dobt end up becoming Maya.
Maya is a reel character..so stop justifying her and enjoy her as a performance.Most of us havent lived her life or met or heard someone like her so stop relating to her in every episode.Such character hardly exist...it is a fictional show and i am happy jenny is doing this .Beyhadd is my mostfav show currently .And i dont feel like relating to maya or arjun...infact i relate to all other characters except maya's mum and dad andarjun and maya but i love how each character of this show has been written and the way all actors are portraying it is fab :)

I don't think anyone over here is trying to 'justify' Maya's actions. I think we all in our ways and sense of understanding are trying to decode Maya and try to understand why she is the way she is. She happens to be the most intriguing character on the show and such characters/story sparks interest in people leading them to have discussions on what they find worth analysing. So, I think we all can decide ourselves on what to waste our time or energies over. Besides, grey characters are far more difficult to interpret than the outright negative or positive one's. Oh and such people (as in the one's suffering from similar or same mental health issues or situations) do very much exist in reality.

Itz coz even before d start of d show, v were told Maya is grey, but d way d show is progressing it looks like she is much more than dt. Most ppl assumed itz gonna b Arya love story, but now it doesn't seem so.Even i feel she has got characteristics from her father.

There r far more damaged ppl in real life. V r just hoping dy show something different. If she is playing a villian, wtz new in dt?

I don't think anyone he justifying her action. Agree her action is wrong hit the character is filled with so much intensity one cannot help but get drown to her. She past will torture her present for sure. Actually she does let her mom go hangout she even called her friends do they can have some time to themselves. In her world it's her rule she is the queen of control, her way or the high way bas no line between it that is how she is. I don't support her wrongness but I cannot deny her character is so enigma cannot help but adore her greyness.

But my point is that i am happy with maya even if she is negative.
I dont know about most of you but right from promos i felt maya is the negative female lead and the entire story revolves around her .

This show is diff becoz of maya being the centre of plot .The makers havent sold us a normal lovestory of two normal ppl and a thirdwheel.
Maya's actions reveal that her mental state is not very balanced and this makes her diff from even those angry young man types male heros of our television.

Maya is beyhadd ...she gets whatshe wants ..she is unrestricted fearless but obsessive and this is a problem not something which can be changed is arjun reciprocates her love .

If arjun falls truly for maya then that means maya has achievedwhat she badly wanted by hook or by crook .Her problem would then lie uncured...her problem is complicated ..she issnt mentally challenged...so how can one understand that she need medical help or counselling ...so that is not a solution in my pov

Maya is not a full fledged vamp. Her character would go thru a stage where her fear for love shall make her take extreme steps but finally she shall b cured in end.

I am happy with this show ...and i think ppl over here were misunderstanding it till now which is shocking for me coz i felt that it was crystal clear in promos...and i was intrigued when i watched first promo ...i knew jeny would be great but she
Is completely slaying it big time.

She would always be remembered and admired for playing Maya so flawlessly.
Anyways i was disappointed that instead of focussing on how maya shud emerge as a pure soul thru all problems in life, ppl are rather rooting for arjun and maya.

Trust me on this Arjun and saanjh are going to be the endgame...while Maya will be lifted free of the negative things in her life...and i am all set for this. This show is fantastic becoz it is not offering a typical love triangle lovestory but three individuals with diff approach in life and distinct personalities and how they shall all be affected by maya's bayhadd avatar.I dont see a problem here not at all .That is why i didnt understand why ppl are having difficulty in accepting maya as negative (black or grey whatever)

PS Most of us do enjoy the performances by the cast. No two ways about it. (:

Exactly no one is saying she is normal... she definitely has a dark side to her, but that really is due to her past. And thats no justification cuz thats actually the truth. She is a very interesting character but what I was saying that it is too early on in the show to regard her as a psycho or the villain. Its also depends on your POV, if you feel sympathetic towards Maya, you would feel that Aneri is the villain in the love story. It all depends on PoV of the viewer... such people do exist thats very true and they may even be living within us. We just wouldnt know theyre like that until the worst of them comes out.

God I hope no one is trying to justify her character. Characters come in all shades. I am totally rooting for Maya here but she is extremely unstable and I am okay with that. I just hope she gets better

I think no one is justifying Maya...they are just analyzing her and enjoying too...especially when Jennifer is giving head to heel performance who would not prefer to go gaga about it...

Yeea there is no justification needed as of now. We dont even know enough about her character to pass a judgement yet. We have gotten to know a lot about Saanjh's nature and Arjuns nature but still dont know many things about Maya. The creatives are very slowly unfolding Maya piece by piece. At some times I even get confused because at times she is really good and other times she is way to beyhadh. It gets me confused lol but its almost like the creatives dont want to give too much away because they want to unleash her character as the story progresses.
