As far as I remember, Khalnayak was a story of Sanjay and Jackie.One was on the bad side and the other was on the good side of the law even though both were good humans.

Sanjay dutt had got more screen space than Madhuri even though Madhuri's latkas and jhatkas in choli ke peeche song were so popular in those days.Her role was not that big/important in the movie.

But Madhuri and Salman had equal screen space in HAHK yet Madhuri overshadowed Salman in the movie.Die hard salman fans are never going to accept this though.

Unsanskari Choli was the star of Khalnayak and Sanskari Kutta was the star of HANK.

Even thought Madhuri was bigger star, but for this movie i will give credit to Sanju Baba.

Both and not to forget Subhash Ghai was an equally big name and Khal Nayak had a blockbuster album as well.

Madhuri was huge there is no doubt but there were equally strong names with this film unlike some of her other films. Ram Lakhan/Tridev/Teezab/Dil/Saajan/Beta/Khal Naayak/HAHK/Raja - she had a sensational success streak 👏
