She won't renew or they won't renew... but truly Katz cudnt add much to the brand as much as Aish or for that matter even Sonam has added...

To be honest I'm not surprised that L'Oreal did not renew their contract with Katrina. She didn't bring anything to the table as an ambassador. She seemed extremely stiff and uncomfortable in Cannes. I thought she would be a natural on the red carpet mixing with the Western media which should be her comfort zone. How wrong I was? Even being interviewed on the carpet it looked way too forced she's not a natural like Aishwarya, Sonam or Cheryl Fernandez VersinI. They know how to work it on the red carpet. Katrina was a disaster and not to mention her botoxed frozen face was off putting.

That reason for working for a retail brand seems like a cover up. It may be true and she may be genuinely working on other business ventures. However her absence at Cannes this year raises questions as she has no product launch out at the moment. I don't understand how that would clash with her L'Oral commitments. Her PR had to come up with something rather than say she was dropped

They should replace her with Kareena or Deepika

BTW i think Loreal dropped her and didn't renew the contract because of her disastrous appearance in 2015, no wonder she wasn't invited to cannes in 2016.
Now her PR is coming up with this 'her starting a new business' crap when in reality there is nothing like this.

Um? This makes no sense lol Kat.

Sonam does so many other things (her app stuff) and is still w/ L'Oreal

DP started her clothing line and is still with her brands (Tanishq, Venus, HP, etc.)

They let her go basically. And I think its her PRs excuse to why she isn't with them anymore. If she renewed her contract I am sure L'Oreal wouldn't care if she had her own brand along with theirs. Other stars have done so...she was fired and wanted an excuse.
