Ishwari is looking to force Sona's marriage with the thought that this will manage to finally separate them.

BUT

obviously it will have just the opposite effect on Dev. He has somehow managed to stay apart for some time but this will force him to accept that he cannot..

How often will mother-son duo demonstrate that all their "samajh jaana" stuff is all hogwash???

Are the creatives writing such scenes in jest to mock their own premise that mom-son have "wifi connection" as Nikki once said?

I liked seeing Dev restless and Sonakshi emotionless. Quite appropriate given their natures and the relationship dynamics.

The leap was shown very naturally and handled well. Ritwik's rishta does not seem odd at this juncture.

Nice to see Dev pine. He even recollected the harsh words he said to Sona but when oh when will he feel remorse over his conduct and not just the pain of separation?? When will he recollect his promises and how he broke them in a jiffy?

Why does he not spend even a minute wondering what went wrong? How it all went down like this? What was lacking in Sonakshi. He is just moping around and going about his regular routine with Ish. Creatives are taking full advantage of Shaheer's ability to bring out that vulnerability to get us to forget the manner of break up and what lead to it..

Quite conveniently he remembers orange shirt but not promises..

Dev, please update your memory card.

I had some thoughts and posted it..it was a deep analyses or so I thought until some people gave me a rude awakening of how Indian TV works so now I have no views but agree to your point the CV's really have no clue how to bring it all together that they are going round and round with no solution in sight

guess more than dev, neha and GKB understands ishwari better... GKB knows weakest point of ishwari and she presses it whenever she feels like... she also understood ishwari's trick and pointed out too...
i am expecting few fireworks in the show around sonakshi's wedding time

Quite right. Looks like everyone in their family and even outsiders now understand them better.

Fireworks at wedding time?? Wish the creatives tone down the drama quotient not increase it...

Beautiful post.
Ishwari and Dev having WIFI connection between them is like the joke of the year.

Whenever I even hear any dialog relating to their (non)understanding of each other, i couldn't help myself from breaking into hysterical giggles , it's untentionally (or may be intentionally ) funny.
Dev is on the verge of collapse , he's almost like a zombie , and a houseful of extremely selfish people couldn't notice any thing amiss about him , especially his mom, seriously I some times feel like Dev is completely an orphan.
However I try , I couldn't stop myself from feeling so so bad for Dev at the last scene , his loneliness and emptiness of heart n soul was clear from his eyes , to his body language for crying out loud and the pain of it was so shattering it permeates through the tv screen to the viewers like a fog of doom.
Sona is very sad but very strong , n genuinely trying , her emotionless calm state is some thing I can completely relate to , this is a must phase before you try to move on from a bad break up. Gosh ! How could a Hindi show be this realistic !!
Sona's family is also completely doing the right things , all the right things to cheer her up I mean , so that she's ready to bear even conversation on marriage , n the way Asha-Bijoy approached the topic with Sona is the way correct way. really Sona is lucky to have such a wonderful family environment , they are her pillar of strength so that no matter how big the storm of sadness it can't crush her for a long time , she'll rise and shine like a rock star.
P.s.- I always love reading your posts. You've such a natural flair for writing.

I think they have definitely decided to up the drama quotient to appeal to a broader audience base (or so they think).

We should now just watch it as a contemporary romance because desi TV hardly gives us contemporary romances anyway.

By the way you should watch Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. I am sure you will love it even if it is a youth show.
