The episode begins with Anupama and Shah family celebrating Independence Day . Babuji, Manohar and Jignesh Mama ji take part in flag hoisting celebrations at the local school. Anupama lectures a woman on the street for littering . She advises on keeping country clean . Public and kids are impressed everyone salutes Anupama and salutes back n all shout “Jai Hind”.
At Kothari mansion, Pari notices Rahi looking at the Rakhee celebration pictures at Shah house. Pari asks if Rahi was feeling jealous because of Anupama getting so much love n appreciation. Rahi denies .
At Shah house Anupama misses Samar as she crushes Haldi for Ansh . She shares her woes with Bharti sitting on wheelchair . Bharti shares her childhood I Day celebrations .
Anupama finds Prarthana upset over the Kothari elders not attending and blessing her marriage . Anupama encourages her to try to persuade her elders . Anupama escorts Prarthana to Kothari mansion. Kothari family is shocked to see Prarthana in their house. Moti baa and Khyati lash out at Anupama . Anupama then asks them to lend a patient ear to their beloved only daughter. Prarthana and Moti baa, Khyati and Parag have war of words. Anupama shows the mirror to Kothari elders how wrong they were . Moti baa rejects Prarthana and points out all the failures of Anupama’s udaans, and her marriages and illicit relationships.
