A group of amazing writers analysts...
Thank u all for the wonderful post and equally amazing responses..

Ur RT.. I also have this same Q why ain't they making Dev introspect..
Just few memories are shown..

I think they are keeping this part for later.. Something they need to highlight later as they increase the gravity of the new entry in Sona's life...

They never ever understood each other... N I also made a post on how this cruel Mom doesn't love her son whom she called her fav good child...

How often will mother-son duo demonstrate that all their "samajh jaana" stuff is all hogwash???

Are the creatives writing such scenes in jest to mock their own premise that mom-son have "wifi connection" as Nikki once said?

I liked seeing Dev restless and Sonakshi emotionless. Quite appropriate given their natures and the relationship dynamics.

The leap was shown very naturally and handled well. Ritwik's rishta does not seem odd at this juncture.

Nice to see Dev pine. He even recollected the harsh words he said to Sona but when oh when will he feel remorse over his conduct and not just the pain of separation?? When will he recollect his promises and how he broke them in a jiffy?

Why does he not spend even a minute wondering what went wrong? How it all went down like this? What was lacking in Sonakshi. He is just moping around and going about his regular routine with Ish. Creatives are taking full advantage of Shaheer's ability to bring out that vulnerability to get us to forget the manner of break up and what lead to it..

Quite conveniently he remembers orange shirt but not promises..

Dev, please update your memory card.

Spot on !! lovely analysis...especially last two lines..

Hopefully Sonakshi's marriage will knock some sense out of him ( Thanks to small mercies offered to us by his mom 🤣 )

Then give us the deep analysis later when you feel the touch of the muse 😳 , ( although I'm a s**t for deep analyses , they are my cocaine 😆 , I even read deep analyses of shows that I don't watch n don't have much frigging idea about what's going on in them 🤣 )
Till then at least give us some teaser trailer on the episode , by bullet points at least. 😉
Today was such a beautiful episode. 😃

@Bookworm ( excellent username choice , may I say ? ) , it could be that Dev does feel the guilt and later on they'll focus on it , he feels guilty that's may be why he'd deprived himself from getting hidden glipmses of Sona, like forbidden pleasure . He was probably punishing himself out of guilt as well as trying to survive .. At least I'd hope so , ( huh ! I know I;m the last person one'd expect to come up with defending Dev , but then today's episode restored my faith on CVs in many ways , so I;m prepared to give them some benefit of doubt , they'd to know , won't they , that they need to show DEv's remorse n genuine repentance at some point , n at great length n sensitivity too , restore the beauty of Devakshi. )

That is right. It does come across as odd. In the past when he has impulsively over reacted, he has felt remorse over his words even if he still sticks with his original decisions.

I think they are keeping this part for later.. Something they need to highlight later as they increase the gravity of the new entry in Sona's life...

Maybe but in real life we do not experience emotions sequentially. Anyway, the makers have now brought in a good dose of drama and I have just decided to enjoy the contemporary romance I get to see with a tub of popcorn as my friend gemini put it

They never ever understood each other... N I also made a post on how this cruel Mom doesn't love her son whom she called her fav good child...

The less said about this weird mom the better. Since I am not connecting with her character, I do not feel bad just disconnected.

Many in this forum are disappointed that he needs a prospective suitor for Sonakshi to wake up but I will be ok as long as it makes for an engaging watch. I am shallow that way and like seeing pining and jealous male leads. Dev especially needs to experience this.

I guess what they wan to show is that this will make him realize that he may lose Sona forever and he will act.

I hope they do not resort to cliches like him having an accident etc. but take a mature approach of trying to work things out and of course win Sona and her family over like a gentleman.

This is what i wrote which was shot down😆.
BTW I am not watching the show I just love reading all your thoughts and be with my online friends

I think this is the turning point of the Story

Sona- Heartbroken ( There is nothing for her to fight for) just goes with the flow

Bijoy/Asha- Wants to see their daughter Happy/ married

Dev- In verge of a major breakdown

Easwari- Her manipulative nature coming to the fore making the biggest mistake by doing this act that her facade is going to drop

Elena: Understanding Sona situation

Ritwik- Easwari's choice a good guy - a catalyst but also according to the WU has a 'Par' which maybe the CV's will use

GKB: The person who pushes Easwari over the edge( I am thinking she is liking what is happening a and taking vicious pleasure

And of course this not what I signed up for either..but I am just going to enjoy with a tub of popcorn!..Time pass

Yes, we can only hope. In real life we do not experience emotions sequentially but this a daily soap so...

, but then today's episode restored my faith on CVs in many ways , so I;m prepared to give them some benefit of doubt , they'd to know , won't they , that they need to show DEv's remorse n genuine repentance at some point , n at great length n sensitivity too , restore the beauty of Devakshi. )

The episode was tastefully done. After a long long time I feel like watching the episode again and that is a good sign.

I am hoping they (actually I demand they do) show him work very hard at regaining her and her family's trust and later wooing Sona back! We never did get that in this show. Dare we hope that they were saving it for later??

Within the universe of the show itself through the reactions of other characters they have themselves indicated that Dev did act like a jerk so I am hopeful!! Else the whole manner of break up will be wasted as a plot point.

Very well said! Dev has pain and emptiness but no remorse. He is not even thinking what harm he has done to Sonakshi. U are write a very important issue has been hidden under Dev's vulnerability.
