Mahavatar Narsimha bonafide blockbuster with best ROI in 2025 releases?

Mahavatar Narsimha has surprised critics, trade and audiences alike. The movie is trending very well at the Hindi box office despite competition from War2, Coolie and Saiyaara. Presented by Hombale Films, it is made by Ashwin Kumar who put everything at stake to make his animation movie on the fierce avatar of Lord Vishnu. Mahavatar Narsimha made Rs 5.77 crores at the box office on its fourth Friday. It was higher than Saiyaara that made Rs five crores. The total Hindi business of the movie now stands at Rs 147.02 crores, which is excellent. It has grown from strength to strength and is doing well across cities.

Made on a tight budget

The film has a reported budget of Rs 15 crores. Audiences have loved the five main animation sequences especially the climax, the BGM and the dialogues. They said it is presented as a mythological animation movie and not as a masala entertainer. A couple of scenes where Lord Vishnu rescues Prahlad have truly left people moved in the theatres. As per Sacnilk Entertainment, Mahavatar Narsimha made a modest start of Rs 1.75 crores at the box office. By Sunday, it had touched Rs 9.5 crores. After that, the collections of the movie have stayed consistently at Rs 7 – 5 crores on week days. The third Saturday and Sunday brought in Rs 20 crores per day.

With War2 getting good audience reviews, we have to see how Mahavatar Narsimha fares at the box office. It is doing well even at the North America box office even though the show are limited. The best collections have come from Hindi speaking states and Telugu ones. Shows in Bihar also went houseful as people got their kids to watch the movie. Ashwin Kumar emotionally spoke about how people told him that Mahavatar Narsimha would never succeed. Some even ridiculed him. Well, his conviction has paid off in the most divine manner.
