Pop-up: Is Sanjay Leela Bhansali planning a movie with Shah Rukh Khan

Rumour has it that he is giving preference to this secret project over Padmavati.

In the past few weeks, there have been rumours about the spat between Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali over which SLB had planned to replace the former with Shah Rukh Khan as the lead in Padmavati.

However, there is now another report that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in talks with Shah Rukh Khan, but it is not for Padmavati. Rather it will be for another movie, that will have Shah Rukh Khan cast opposite...Wait for it...oh shucks, I already spoilt the suspense in the headline...Kangana Ranaut!

Senior journalist Rajeev Masand has mentioned this development in his latest article, which could just be speculations for all you know. But still, Shah Rukh Khan and Kangana Ranaut in a film... never thought that would happen! After all, Kangana had mentioned that she doesn't need a Khan to survive in Bollywood.

The problems with Padmavati began when there were trouble casting for the actor who was supposed to play Deepika (who is playing Padmavati)'s husband in the film. Then, Ranveer Singh asked for a bound script, which supposedly angered Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who wanted him to work in the film in good faith. As that didn't happen, as per rumours, SLB went hunting for replacements. Also the news that Deepika will be paid an astronomical fee of nearly Rs 12 crores, has caused the investors to worry about the film's budget.
