Exactly. In that case, Dev didn't took her shouting/words to his heart. He was only worried about why she got angry. He really dont know what she was going through that time. In the same way, Sona didn't took dev's shouting/words to her heart. She was only worried about his pain. She can imagine his pain but she actually dont know what all he went through in his life which made him a stone. Standing at the bank of a river we can only imagine its depth but we will only know its actual depth when we enter in to it. Pain also is the same.

Best part here is, Knowing or unknowingly they given value to their relationship more than their ego.

when anyone says - "No, U don't understand" in relation to some bad past memory ... I generally do agree . The reason for this is no matter how much u love a person , no matter how much u care ...u really cannot live their life or be a part of past instances ...what happened ...happened with them ...no matter how much u think u understand , u cannot really do because u r not living that condition ...so what they may have felt is not necessary that u may have felt the same...may be u wd have dealt with the situation differently !

I shall give u an example ... I have a friend who was undergoing a v difficult Divorce case... his wife was abusive towards his parents and thus he wanted a divorce ...his wife never used to turn up in the court ...they dragged on the case for 2 years without her appearing in the court for 2 years ...my friend used to diligently attend every court hearing with a hope that some progress would happen but always returned Frustrated and depressed and angry ...his parents were in a mess too because of legal issues...he was very sad for them and used to blame himself for their miserable condition ...he had said to me once that he understands people are concerned for him and love him etc ...but he is the one who has to stand in court ...he is the one who has to face this repeated nonsense upfront... no one can be in his shoes and attend a court hearing being him so even though I appreciate u understand my situation ...u really cannot as its me who is in this condition !!! and I only have to face it ... I had no words to say to him that time but it gave me a different outlook all together .

I see this situation quite relatable here !!!! sorry for the long post but just felt like sharing to give a different perspective to this whole Understanding issue.

Truly agree with you. If Dev cannot think beyond his mother, then how can he expect Sona to support his decision and not think about her own life and her parents' wishes. Let them show Dev misses her so much after separation n standup for their love.

Sona was the sole earning member of her family, he not only got her fired from job, he also made sure she could not get another job. I sincerely hope Dev realises his mistake and make amends. I am sure they would soon start showing Ishwari feeling jealous of Sona and insulting her for petty things. I don't want Sona to act mahaan at that time. It will not be in line with her character. Being understanding and being a doormat are different. Till now her character has been shown to be mature and understanding. But her self respect and dignity should not be compromised.

The scene with GKB was a very dangerous indicator of the way things are shaping up. I want Sona to be the one walking out of the relationship in face of Dev's inability to control his mother and Mami.

I also want Dev and not Ishwari to be the one who comes apologising and requesting Sona to accept him back.
