time this week Aisha was looking at the pictures, more specifically one
picture. She couldn't believe she was the same girl who had got married 6months
back to Omkara Oberoi against her wishes.
If an outsider was to look at the photo, it would be evident that neither Aisha
nor Omkara wanted to stand next to each other. It wasn't a happy wedding or a fairy-tale
love story, it was an arranged wedding more like a business deal. An alliance
her father thought would be good for his business. She had no option other than
accepting it, and she was sure even Omkara was against the entire idea. Like
her father, even Omkara's father was
interested in the benefits it would provide to their massive empire. She knew
the only reason that Omkara even agreed to get married was because of his Dadi,
who Aisha grew very fond of.
The truth
was that Aisha was intimidated by Om and awestruck at the same time. Yes, she wasn't happy in the beginning but as
time passed by she started to understand how good her husband is. There was something
about him that she couldn't quite point out. She didn't know when or how it
happened but she was head over heels in love with him. She was in love with his
charismatic personality, his passion for art, his understanding nature, and
above all his unfaltering faith he had in love and relationships despite his parent's
failed marriage. She loved the bond he had with his brothers. The way he
understood the eldest, Shivaaye and protected the youngest, Rudra. For the
first time, Aisha felt like she belonged
somewhere. She felt loved when she was with shivaaye,
rudra, dadi
and Priyanka. Even Om's mother who was drunk half the time had become an
important person in Aisha's life. Keeping aside her drinking habits Janvi was a good person who loved her family.
Even
though Om had married her against his wishes he never behaved badly with Aisha.
He took care of her. He fulfilled all the responsibilities of a husband. She
was never forced to do anything that she didn't want to. He treated her with
respect. She was known as Aisha Omkara Singh Oberoi.
It had a nice ring to it. She liked being known as Om's wife. Aisha shut her
album and opened her diary and wrote...I'm unconditionally in love with my
