Helooo! So I'm back again with the next part...sorry for updating so late...I was facing a writing slump. This one is a little long. and maybe a little too sweet, but I cant help it, its my darling Om!

Arranged Love Part 4 - Once again...

"Dadi, don't you think we should do something to stop this engagement?" Asked Aisha. Dadi, Rudra, and Aisha were sitting on the plush couches in the massive living room, staring at the mismatched couple, Tia and Shivaya. Tia seemed to blabber on and on about what how many likes she got on their recent photographs, but Shivaya was least interested. He was busy messaging someone, probably about some upcoming presentation.

Dadi said "Trust me Aisha if there was a way to stop the engagement, then I would have done it a long time back, but never the less you, Omkara and Rudra have my blessings. Try all you want."

"Aisha bhabhi, common you're a doctor, you're smart. Think of a way to get rid of this lady baba."

Aisha exclaimed "You know Rudra, it's not that easy. Shivaya is adamant. He's not going to listen until and unless he realises it for himself."

The truth is Aisha had tried to speak to Shivaya on a number of occasions about his decision to get married to Tia, but for Shivaya, the most important thing was Tia's family name, status, and class. It was so obvious to Aisha that Shivaya was not in love with Tia, yet he was going to marry her and that infuriated Aisha. In the beginning, she thought maybe she didn't have the right to say anything given the circumstances in which she and Omkara had got married. But after seeing Dadi, Rudra and Om's concern, she tried to reason with Shivaya but nothing seemed to work.

Omkara was sitting in his art room, he was on the verge of completing his abstract painting. Before meeting Aisha, he had trouble finding inspiration. He thought the only reason people became artists, was to pour out their grief in the form of art. But he soon realised he was wrong. After falling in loving with Aisha, he poured out his happiness in his art. Now he didn't have to search for his inspiration because he had got his muse in the form of his wife. He was happy that they had finally confessed their feelings to each other. He longed for Aisha's warm touch, but because of the engagement preparations he wasn't able to spend time with her. Then suddenly an idea flashed in Omkara's mind.

The day of the engagement finally arrived. Typically, engagements are supposed to be joyous occasions. But the only people truly happy today were pinky, Shakti, Janvi and Tia's family. Dadi was trying hard to be happy for Shivaya whereas Rudra clearly displayed his sadness. Omkara wished for things to be different but he knew Shivaya too well so he kept a neutral face.

As Aisha was finishing the last bits of preparation, waves of nostalgia passed over her. She remembered the depressing atmosphere of her own engagement with Om, how neither of them was happy. They didn't even look at each other properly. For Aisha, her ring ceremony was a complete blur. She thought "I wish I knew what the future held for me that time. Then maybe we could have cherished that day. Things are so different now. We are so happy together, If only I could turn back the time and capture those moments." Aisha had decided to wear a golden and peach coloured lehnga with matching earrings and bangles and tie her hair in a messy bun. She wanted to look good for her Om

Oberoi mansion was looking stunning. It looked like a castle. Everyone was ready. It was nearly time to exchange rings. Rudra came up to Aisha and asked "Bhabhi, where's O? I haven't seen him since this afternoon oh and by the way you look amazing" She had been so busy with the decorations and guests that she didn't realise Om was nowhere in sight. "Thank you and Rudra did you check in his art room?"

"Yes I checked he's not there, when you see him please remind him that he has a brother named Rudra who's all alone and who no one loves"

Aisha started laughing "Oh god! Don't be so dramatic my dear Dramebaaz, you know I love you, don't worry I will find him and bring him to you" Aisha was about to leave but Choti ma dragged her for some work.

The ceremony began. All the guests had gathered around the couple. Aisha anxiously looked around for Omkara but couldn't spot him. Now she was getting worried. She really wanted him beside her at this moment. At that moment strong arms pulled her out of the sea of guests. Omkara took her up to the terrace.

"Om where were you and why did you bring me here? We should go back down, the ceremony has started" Omkara started to chuckle and said "The ceremony is not down there it's up here"

Aisha had a confused look on her face, the one that Om loved. "What are you talking about...you know people will notice we aren't down...plus Rudra was..." Om pulled Aisha towards him and snaked his arms around her. "God she's beautiful," he thought. As soon as that happened, Aisha couldn't help herself and fell into his arms. Omkara broke their hug and smirked "You know as much as I would like to hold you in my arms, I have to tell you something"

"Aisha, a lot of things have changed in the past few months. You went from being a stranger who I didn't want to marry to becoming my entire world. I wasn't expecting someone pure as you to walk into my life and bring the sunshine in it. When I looked back I realised that we didn't create memories in our engagement. We were both unhappy, buts that's not the case anymore" And with that Omkara knelt down in front of Aisha and presented a diamond studded infinity engagement ring. "Aisha will you give me the honour of being yours once again?'

Tears started to fall from her eyes, she was at a loss for words. But she managed to get a tiny YES out of her mouth. Omkara stood up and gently placed the ring on her finger, right next to the first ring. Aisha marvelled at the man standing in front of her. She touched his face to make sure he was real.

"You made my wish come true, I wanted to recreate whatever we missed so that we would remember it forever, thank you for this" Whispered Aisha

"Well that proves it then, I'm the best husband in the world" He grinned and gave her a wink. Aisha wiped her eyes and laughed. They had never been so happy before. Aisha's eyes widened in shock "Om, shivaya's engagement! Rudra's going to kill you and me, we need to go"

Suddenly they heard a song starting to play from the engagement area. It was Om's favourite song, Can't help falling in love with you' by Elvis Presley

Wise men say
only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?

Aisha was about to leave but Om extended his hand and said: "Our song is playing, would you care to dance?" "But I can't dance Om"

"Don't worry, I will catch you if you fall" and that was it, she couldn't refuse. Om took her hand and led her to the middle of the terrace. He placed his hand on her waist and swayed along with the music

Om placed his forehead against hers. The soft glow of the lights and the music took them to a world of their own. Om finally understood that there is no such thing as perfect or imperfect love, it can be abstract and the same time beautiful.
