Hello everyone. I am really sorry for keeping you guys in the hook and not updating. I am here with the next chapter and I really hope you guys like it. Thank you so much for all the likes and comments. Enjoy reading :)
Chapter 4
The Wagle Niwas was in hustle and bustle. The men worked on the catering and decoration while the women helped the priest in arrangements. Soon they all gathered and as the priest put the first flower in God's feet they all folded their hands and worshipped the almighty.
" So sagar,this is going to be a real surprise for your family...right?" said neil as the trio stood outside the Chaturvedi home.
" Yes...I am waiting to see them all..." said sagar with all smiles.
" All...or just gangaa? " teased jaanvi and they could see sagar smiling.
" okay now will you just ring the bell sagar?" asked neil and chuckled.
Sagar rung the bell, knocked the door but no one opened the door.
" I guess they are not home.." said neil.
" That's not possible because the door isn't locked from outside." said sagar inspecting.
" So what do we do now?" asked jaanvi.
" I know what to do... Come.. " said sagar and the two followed him.
The trio walked through a passage that lead them to a staircase. Sagar started walking on the stairs when neil questioned him," is this a secret way to your house?"
Sagar nodded in response.
" wow..I like banaras. I wish there was a secret passage in our hostel then I would have saved so much money that I spent giving to the watchman. "
Sagar and jaanvi gave him a Stern look and he shrugged his shoulders.
Soon they reached the terrace of Chaturvedi Niwas. The entire holy city of Gangaa could be seen in a glimpse. They stood there admiring the serenity when sagar could hear some noises.
He closed his eyes and listened to the noise carefully. It wasn't just a noise, it was something very familiar. It was like music which he had heard many times before. He could see her swinging with the wind. Her feet tapping the ground and in a flash he opened his eyes. His lips curved into a smile as he exclaimed, " She is here."
Sagar ran downstairs while the two tried matching his speed.
He could hear the sound clearly as he neared the room at the very end of the house. He pushed the door open and there he found her.
Her hands moving in wave, her feet tapping the ground, her eyes gleamed in joy and her lips carried a smile. With her every move the anklets made a melodious music. He stood there admiring her every step. For a moment he could see the girl he left back 10 years ago and now 10 years later she was still the same. His heart pounced on his chest,threatening to come out as he neared her.
Like everytime, she had lost herself in her dance. She didn't know he was here. He smiled how she still hasn't changed. She kept swirling to the music and as she tapped her foot for the last beat. She opened her eyes to find him waiting for her.
Her breathing became fast, the sweat dripping down her forehead and she neared him. Before she could near him, his arms were around her. Still not able to believe her eyes she touched his shoulders and it wasn't just another dream. She let herself drown in th moment, in his,arms and stood there for an eternity.
After the pooja, prabha asked Ammaji," where is Gangaa? "
" Humne nai Pata prabha... Gangaa ki baat tu uski ma se puch."
Prabha searched for gangaa around the house but she was nowhere to be found. Worried she said to yash," gangaa hasn't come yet...where is she?"
Yash who was busy with the caterer answered, " mom, don't worry she will come. She has work at home...she will be here."
Niranjan and his wife were talking about sagar when prabha came in," why hasn't gangaa come yet?"
Hesitating she replied, " Don't worry...I had left some work unattended. After finishing them she will be here."
Prabha nodded and smiled.
Niranjan asked," is she needed here now? "
Prabha with a smile answered, " She is always needed. I wish I had a daughter like her. Trust me if yash would have been elder to her...I would have definitely come one day on your soon steps asking her hand for him."
Niranjan nodded at her reply and said," but my wife would never let her daughter go."
Prabha smiled and left to look at the work.
" Will you stand like that all the time? ", asked neil and chuckled.
Jaanvi slapped his shoulder and looked at the two breaking the embrace.
Sagar took her hand in his and walked towards his friends.
" this is neil,my friend and jaanvi."
Gangaa shook hands with them and smiled. "And guys this is
Sagar put his hands around her shoulder and gangaa...his friends joined him as her name echoed in the room.
