Dear Mona ,

I wanted to write this ever since I watched the first promo of Kawach , bt waited to for the 1st Epi viewing .

Wanted to give a atlest one shot to the show and then decide ...and honestly I have done , I need no more further viewing .

Indian TV is filled with filt now , its at its atmost LOW content level and THIS content is being appreciated and is spreaidng

like an Epidemic , with no makers giving a thought whether its appropraite or not bt just cause It SELLS they are making it .

In such scenario , I honetsly dint expected a seasoned actor for your calibre to jump into this filt .You are the same person who played pathbreaking

Jassi , a girl who showed in Inner Beauty and confidence is the best accessory a woman can wear . You did Preet , who was brave enough to stand

up against her own husband and side with her responsibilities .After doing such roles , you jump into this well of chudails and daayans..??

I have no issues with supernatural genre ,bt the mixture of Religious beliefs , baba , jaadu tona ..that too in current scenario where people(esp the target audience)

get easily influenced by this why to be part of this and promote such stuffs . Also this whole supernatural stuff is ruling now , one hit show other's follow

the same suite , then isn't it better not to do such shows and give no badhawa to it .

You mentioned in your intv that this is something you have never tried before . I dont buy this , a sane person like you

very well knows how WRONG doing/promoting such stuff is esp the way it is show non Indian TV .

Also you certainly are not amongst those actors who want fame and money and can take up anything that comes their way .

Is it because of the low self esteem you developed post the FLOP of show like PKHJD .??

A FLOP show like PKHJD is zillion time better then this regressive shit Mona.

A Seasoned actor like you doing such shows is Utter Dissapointment .

This just make me believe that Indian Televesion will continue to hit lowest low , esp now when Actors like You are being a part of it and

promoting it .

I prefer Jassi and Preet wali Mona , anyday over this Mona .

I have no intention of hurting any Fan/Viewer , this is clearly my dissapointment with Indian tv and the Actor.

Those who are enjoying it , I have no issues , Enjoy .

P.S: It was good to see Mona and Kavya Kiddo together ...❤️

Beautifully expressed.

I will just want to add that Mona you have been iconic in bringing in strong female characters to Indian Television. Jassi is etched like a childhood memory on every single girl in her twenties now, and then u came up with Preet.

A strong headed woman who showed that love and duty can be managed together, who not for one second tolerated doormat behaviour from anyone, including the love of her life, and who could be so selflessly in love and yet maintain her self respect.

The biggest disappointment from Kawach is that ur character is a modern girl, who can look in the eye and say that she doesnt believe in regressive beliefs BUT she will be proven wrong. That is just intolerable to see.

We miss the Preet/Jassi wali Mona.

I am a huge fan of Mona. But even I cannot watch such regressive stuff. So what if my favourite actor is a part of it? This still does not make all that they showed watchable. Where is this story leading? Is it going to help the society in anyway to dispel andhavishwas or is the show going to promote black magic? Have the makers thought about this? I had decided to give this show a shot for the Mona and

for her I watched an episode. But I don't want to be a part of something that is promoting black magic and superstitions. So many lives have been ruined this way.

Even I prefer PKHJD wali Preet, Jassi wali Mona... Hope we get to watch you play such zing wale roles in the future.

PKHJD days taaza ho gaye after seeing Mona with the child actor who played Kavya in the show.

You echoed my thoughts and its well expressed. Nothing more to add. The trashy promos were enough to disappoint knowing an experienced, talented act9r like Mona Singh opting for this. She was the one who in a way broke the monopoly of saas bahu dramas of Ekta while playing Jassi in the last decade.It waa kind of going against the tide and unfortunately now going with the flow on tv scenario. A huge thumbs down from my side. She mustbhwve her reason to do this but I do not see any reason to watch this rubbish, even for her. So I will continue to miss Mona Singh.

The calibre that she has and the body of work that she has done ...her talent is absolutely a MISFIT for such shows ...

such shows require OTT-ness not Subtlety... so yeah She is ABSOLUTE MISFIT here...

@bold: WORD...Dude..!! She did JASSI in era where good looking , saare clad ...jwelleray clad bahu's were floating ( which in a way is still on 😆) ...and was successful in breaking the mold , being Inspiration to so many young girls out there...

Infact at that time she was a Newcomer and yet dint followed the regular suite and was confident enough to come in front with Jhalli Jassi ...

And Look now what she is promoting...😭 in such Stature , where she is veteran/experienced enough to make things move as per her Demand...

DISSAPOINTMENT is the Word..!!!

Mummy ko bola , Shaitan is the Hep thingy now 😆 , aur bohot saari serials aayengi shaitano wali . Alag Alag type ke shaitano ke saath and makers will claim our show is different( as the shaitan is diff 😳) ... Be ready ...😆

I don't blame Mona for doing Kavach.I mean at the end of the day it's business.The only criteria to judge a TV show is how much TRPs it fetches for the channel.
She did PKHJD.How many people watched that show?A very few.
If at all someone talks about PKHJD , the discussion is only about how it couldn't garner good ratings.
In an industry where your success is dependent upon the TRP of your show,I don't blame her to do Kavach coz she knows it has all the ingredients to gain good ratings.

I don't blame the makers either.It's business for them.Ekta did make PKHJD.It wasn't successful.Then she made Naagin.It turned out to be a huge success.So it's justified if she goes ahead and thinks of making a show like Kavach,for she knows it will also work.

The problem is with the Indian audience.Majority of them like regressive and OTT shows.Why else do you think shows like SNS,SSK etc etc are still running?
There are a very few ppl like us who go for content oriented shows.The rest of the ppl are happy with whatever they get to see.

The makers are happy making masala shows and the audience is happy enjoying it.Beech me sensible audience ki band baj jaati hai,who unfortunately are very few in number.
