Amazing analysis Shru 👏. You are something else... Clap. I am not as well versed with finding symbolism's the way you do. But I was certain that the reporter has to play an important role. My guess was more intuitive. Media plays such an important role these days, and has been crucial in bringing forth a lot of cases that may have gone unheard. It had to happen.
Before anything else I want to state that the media today is an opportunistic industry and walks on the border line of being insensitive. This was captured very well when Suhasini was asked the most ridiculous question "aapke jawaan bete ko koh kar kaisa lag raha hai aapko" at the hospital. I mean, could it get any worse. So, as important as Padmashree is, I hope she continues to be an opportunist in the beginning but is shown a mirror by Swadheenta. I want this girl to be told that information can be presented to people, but in a manner that is not appalling. It is important to bring forth certain things that are happening in the world, but you can do that by being sensible and don't have to always be an imbecile. As much as she is helping Swadheenta, I want Swadheenta to guide her into being a better reporter too. Of-course in a finite series with bigger problems to solve, I am not sure if it will happen. But, wish karne ke liye paise thodi na lagte hai LOL.
Adarsh has to help Swadheenta. Pom had pointed out something in a comment the day before. The first promo of the show had a dialogue - "ek saach ko jeetana chahti hain, toh dusra corruption ko harana" dono ki manzil ek hai, par kya raaste ek ho paayenge". If this entire thing has to be Swadheenta's struggle, then what was the point of this promo. So, maybe the first promo had itself told us indirectly how this track will unfold.
There was also some discussion around why we are spending so much time showing the same depressing track and not moving forward. Why not start a court scene now and concentrate on it. I was thinking about this yesterday (and even commented about it in Aalina's thread). As much as Swadheenta is convinced that her maamu and Asad are innocent, the choice that stands in front of her is the hardest. She has no evidence at the moment to support her choice of defending the people that the country has branded as bad. And secondly, those people are accused of killing an innocent man who happens to be her husband's brother. Is her want to save her maamu just an emotional moment. By doing this will she kill her future? Is she being mean to her husband and her family that loves her so much by making this choice? Will her husband continue to love her and understand her if she walks down this road? If she doesn't do it and maamu is innocent, where will that leave her? Could she have been so wrong in her judgement of her own family? Will she ever be able to live a normal life without finding these answers? And if she goes to find these answers, will her family support her? Can you imagine the situation that is driving this girl to make the choices that she is making? In the bigger context, it is an unfortunate thing that people in our society are faced with such tough choices. It is real. And many of them lose the war. They get buried under their responsibilities in other roles. But if one of the intent's of the show is to encourage people to follow their heart even in such situations, then they have to show her conflicting emotions and her need to resolve it. The part is being enacted so well her Tridha. I am in aww.
Sowjanya (actually her husband) had suggested yesterday that Adarsh might stumble upon the video that Asad left for her (because Swadheenta had not removed it from the player), and that may start changing his opinion. That he may feel a tug at his heart and start wondering if he is right, and if he can accept this at face value. I truly hope that this is the direction it takes. Swadheenta may initially be hesitant and nervous talking to Adarsh about this because of the situation. But if Adarsh himself starts researching things because of a trigger, it will be more enjoyable. They will both be fighting for the same cause (in a way), but on their own initially. I truly hope this happens.
PS - Krishna was all about duty. Karam kar, phal ki iccha na kar. By talking about duty yesterday, Padmashree in a way reminded Swadheenta that she has a job to do at the moment. But "karma" is also the underlying basis of principles. Don't worry about the results but follow your principles. So Adarsh has to arrive at the same juncture, even if he takes a separate route.
