I totally get it when people say they can't imagine her as Padmavati because Padmavati was very beautiful and everyone has different opinions! Deepika is my first choice too because same like everyone I imagined deepika more after seeing the picture! Ash would totally look the part too, I loved her in JA as the beautiful Rajput queen ! But the question is does she have the acting chops to pull off Padmavati? If there is a confrontation scene between Khilji & Padmavati, the kind of actor Ranveer he'll eat up Ash when it is supposed to be the other way round since Padmavati has to be the stronger character!

It'll again become sympathy gone wrong like BM if people don't feel it for Padmavati but for Khilji! 😆

IF Ranveer is casted as Khilji which pretty much looks like that the only possible actress opposite him will be DP especially if padmavati is described as breathtakingly beautiful. But i dont think Aish will look to old for Ranveer especially if he has a full beard and looks manlier macho like than his contemporaries right know the only one besides Ranveer its Fawad. Would have been interesting if Aish is casted but i think like someone said SLB is too much obsessed with RSDP that i bet he offered them these roles before BM released or maybe right after the release so that nobody can sign this pairing besides him. He done the same with BM and so both refused to do Shuddi.

I feel PC will be fine in terms of beauty. I say this coz I remember while watching BM, the first scene when Kashi appears on screen, there's this terrific glow on her face, which lit up the screen like nobody's business. A lot of it depends on the characterization itself, combined with the vision of the director and talent of the artist, I'm sure she'll nail her part and leave an impact if everything goes right. I was actually about to say the same thing but couldn't quote it properly! I do not know who did it, how it happened whether it was the SLB Magic or PC really putting her heart into the character! Her face did really light up- it's like the character inner beauty shone through (it sounds so cheesy but it is true) it was like the film Kashi was such an innocent soul, that glow resonated! ❤️ I never would've though I would PC so gorgeous in a period film. Agree with the deepika part, I didn't find her BM looks as one of the best too, she looked really ordinary to how she usually looks except for some of the start scenes!

I agree to each and everything you said! Beauty & the looks can be created, we have that much resources today but an actor cannot be! If an actor does a darn well job, the looks wouldn't matter AT ALL!
