Hello lovelies.. Long time no see! I've been crazy ill recently hence haven't had the chance to write or update :( but I feel much better now and I'm finally back :D happy reading :)
Chapter 5:
The next morning Nandini woke up with a heavy head. Everything around her felt blurry so she blinked her eyes a couple times to familiarise herself with the surroundings. She gets out of bed, still confused about where she is and walks out of the room. As she walks out of the room her eyes fall on the beautiful and lavish mansion she is staying in, the beauty and detail of the house leaves her completely fascinated. 'Good morning', her trance is broken as she hears Manik, standing behind her with a cheeky smile. Nandini looks at him and changes her face to the angriest expression she owns. 'What the hell Manik! WHERE AM I?' Nandini yells, 'my farmhouse' Manik replied causally. 'What am I doing here?' she asks, 'you're standing' Manik replies, again very casually. 'Manik Malhotra you are not funny! Tumhe yeh mazaak lagta hai? I TRUSTED YOU! And you kidnapped me!! WHY AM I HERE?' Nandini screamed again. 'Look Nandini calm do..' 'No I'm not gonna freaking calm down. I WANNA GO HOME..' Nandini continued yelling. 'I'm sorry I have to put you through this but I can't take you home.. Look I won't hurt you just listen to me..' 'Listen to you?! What should I listen to? You brought me here against my will, YOU DRUGGED ME to make me faint.. Because of you I was attacked and almost shot and you want me to listen to you? I WANT TO GO HOME TAKE ME HOME MANIK' Nandini again began shouting. 'Nandini relax will you.. Calm down' 'NO I WILL NOT CALM DOWN TAKE ME HOME' Nandini yelled again, irritating Manik even further. 'Nandi..' Manik again tried to speak but was cut off by Nandini's yelling 'I SAID TAKE ME HOME'.
Manik completely annoyed at her screaming grabbed her arm really harshly and pinned her to the nearest wall he could find and placed his lips on hers, completely taking Nandini by surprise. He continued to kiss her until she stopped resisting and calmed down, once she was calm he pulled away from her, breathing heavily. 'Still have something to say? You continue talking, I know just how to shut you up' Manik said with a heavy breathe while Nandini stood there in shock of what just happened staring at Manik. Manik calmed himself down and moved his hand to Nandini's cheek, caressing it softly, 'I'm sorry you have to go through all this.. I really am but I'm helpless. Please trust me.. I will never hurt you.. I promise' he said very politely as she stood there taking in all his words. 'When can I go home?' Nandini asked calmly. 'Soon.. I will get you home safe and sound to your dadi very soon.. Promise' he said smilingly, Nandini calmed herself down and smiled back at him faintly. 'I'm hungry' she said still looking in his eyes making Manik chuckle. 'Go freshen up, I'll order breakfast in the meantime.. Everything you need will be in the room you came from' Manik said as Nandini kept looking at him. 'I know you love gazing at my beautifully handsome face but we can't stand like this all day, would you mind going freshening up?' Manik asked with his smirk making Nandini blush. Nandini just smiled and ran into her room leaving a rather happy Manik behind.
Manik and Nandini were both settled on the breakfast table eating whilst talking about their likes, dislike, hobbies when Manik got a text from Cabir:
We're leaving for Shimla tomorrow morning, can't waste more time. Get there as soon as you can, leave today if possible and meet us tomorrow Nandini noticed Manik lost in his phone and deep thinking, she placed her hand on Manik's 'everything okay?' she asked. 'Err.. Yeah.. Erm.. Do you trust me?' Manik asked her, 'what?' Nandini asked. 'Just answer, do you trust me?' he asked again. Nandini didn't know what to say as even she didn't know whether she trusted him or not, 'yes' her heart answered for her. 'Good.. Hurry up and finish eating we need to leave' Manik said as he got up from the dining table. 'Leave?' Nandini asked raising her eye brow. 'Yes..' he replied, 'leave to where Manik? You have to tell me what's going on..' 'Shhh! No more questions. Just go get ready and come with me, remember the promise I made, I won't hurt you' Manik said looking right in her eyes. 'Also if you ask anymore questions be prepared for my to shut you up Manik Malhotra style' he said as he winked at her before leaving to prepare for Shimla. 'Get ready fast' he yelled at her from his room. Nandini just sat for a while trying to take everything in, lost deep in her own thoughts.
Soon it was evening and Manik and Nandini were on their way to Shimla. Nandini was awfully quiet which bothered Manik, he liked the chirpy talkative Nandini more. He cleared his throat to grab her attention which she conveniently ignored. 'Who are you Manik?' Nandini asked out of the blue, taking Manik by surprise. 'What do you mean?' he asked. 'You know what I mean.. You're not just a regular guy, there's a lot more to you than you're telling me. What are you hiding? Kaun ho tum?' she asked, finally looking at him. Manik was startled and too confused to answer her, he debated in his mind whether or whether not to tell her the truth. His heart wanted to trust her but his mind was skeptical, his profession didn't allow him to follow his heart so he listened to his brain and decided not to tell her. 'Nandini I am what I've told you.. The only difference between me and any other regular guy is my father is a multi-millionaire with more enemies than you could count who are always out to get the only heir of Malhotra industries hence all this drama' he answered. 'And who was the other guy with you last night, Cabir?' she asked. 'He's a family friend, a very close one actually. Our company have partnered up with him, and besides that he's my best friend.. And now no more questions, I'll tell you everything when the time is right. I promise' Manik said. Nandini wanted to ask more but decided against and resting her head back on the seat just relaxed thinking about everything in her mind. Manik felt bad keeping things from her but he couldn't compromise his work for anyone, not even her.
Manik notices Nandini's mood, which is very off thanks to the events taking place in her life, so he decides to cheer her up. He stops the car with a halt 'ab kya hua?' she asked. 'Arre tum toh relax kar so rahi ho, mein kab se drive kar raha hoon.. I'm tired I need a break. So come on let's go eat' he said pointing at the Pizza Hut near them, he stopped the car at one of the services to take a break and lighten the situation between him and Nandini a little. They got out of the car, went in, placed there orders and got seated. Nandini finally started smiling, much to Manik's relief, he felt guilty about her being upset because of him. All was going well with their light talks, Manik's flirty comments and Nandini's blush when suddenly the noise of gun a ruined everything. Nandini freaked out whereas Manik was alarmed, he immediately pulled Nandini out of her chair and behind him whilst taking his gun out for self defence. He looked in the place of where the noise came from and was completely shocked 'Aryamman' he whispered. 'Hello again Manik' Aryamman said smirking, with his gun still pointed at Manik. Manik was shooting daggers at Aryamman and his men whilst Nandini stood there totally scared and confused. 'Let her go!' Aryamman said to Manik, Manik held Nandini's hand even tighter. 'Listen, I'm a police officer.. You don't have to be scared, I know he's kidnapped you but we'll protect you don't worry' Aryamman tried talking to Nandini despite the fact the Manik was covering her. 'Keep her out of this Aryamman' said Manik. 'No you keep her out of this.. Haven't you got enough crimes on your criminal record that you're adding kidnapping on it too' Aryamman said. 'Criminal record?' Nandini whispered with disappointment coating her voice, as Manik looked at her with pleading eyes hoping she'd understand him. 'Manik why is the police here and what crimes are they talking about?' Nandini asked Manik. 'Oh so you don't know?' asked Aryamman. 'I SAID KEEP HER OUT OF THIS' Manik roared at Aryamman. 'I'll tell you what crime I'm talking about. He's an international criminal. He stole the Koh-I-Noor' Aryamman said much to Nandini's shock. The only thing Nandini heard of that sentence was
criminal, she looked at Manik with a tearful eye. Aryamman noticed Manik and Nandini holding hands, 'look come with us, you're not safe with him' Aryamman said. 'Nandini listen to me..' Manik tried to explain but was cut off as Nandini showed her hand to him asking him not to talk. 'There's nothing left to say or listen to anymore..' she said as tears streamed down her face. 'Arjun, you take Nandini with you and make sure she gets home safe' Aryamman said to one of the other police officers. Nandini left Manik's hand and walked towards Aryamman. 'Nandini wait.. I can't let you go' Manik said sternly, his eyes filled with anger at this point. He put his normal gun back in his pocket, and took another gun out, much to everyone's shock he pointed the gun at Nandini. Nandini stood there numb, unable to accept Manik was about to shoot her. 'MANIK DON'T' Aryamman shouted. 'I promise I'll never hurt you' Manik said to Nandini, 'you already have' she replied to him, and with that Manik shot Nandini in her shoulder.

I wrote the chapter but it accidentally got deleted, which means I have to write the whole chapter again, and then update. I'll hopefully write tomorrow and update that on Monday..
