Aishwarya-Randeep Starrer Sarbjit To Release on May 20th!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit finally gets its release date, May 20th, 2016. Earlier it was touted that the film will release on May 19th, on a Thursday. Priya Gupta, co-producer of the film, took to Twitter today to announce the release date of the Sarbjit will be May 20.

The film is helmed by Mary Kom director, Omung Kumar and has Randeep in the titular role of Sarabjit Singh. Based on the true incidents, the film will see Aishwarya essay the role of Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit's sister. The film revolves around the sister's struggle of 23 years to free his brother from the Pakistani jail, who lands there by mistake.

Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looks resplendent in a red salwar kameez in a Punjabi folk song from Omung Kumar's 'Sarbjit.' The actress plays Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit Singh's sister, who fought tooth and nail to get her brother released from a prison in Lahore.

While Randeep Hooda underwent a remarkable transformation by losing 18 kgs to turn Sarbjit, Richa Chadda plays his wife in the film. 'Sarbjit' is set to release on May 20, 2016.
