Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the Golden Temple

The actress took part in the seva at the Golden Temple while shooting during the Amritsar schedule of her film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who began filming for the Amritsar schedule of Omung Kumar's Sarabjit biopic earlier this month, recently took part in the seva at the Harmandir Sahib, Golden Temple as part of the shoot.

The 42-year-old actress joined devotees in washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and cooking. "She requested the temple officials to guide her so she could avoid mistakes," reveals a source from the location, adding that the Bachchan bahu also partook of the langar.

Word of her presence on the premises got around quickly with visitors eager to catch a glimpse of the actress. Ash who plays Dalbir Kaur, sister of the late Sarabjit Singh, who was captured by Pakistan in 1991 and tried on charges of terrorism in 2013, is accompanied by daughter Aaradhya and mother Vrinda Rai on the schedule. She was recently spotted posing with the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans while shooting in Punjab.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen cooking, cleaning and eating with devotees at the temple.

Sarabjit' crew filmed several scenes of Ash participating in the various rituals.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is busy filming for Omung Kumar's Sarbjit biopic, was spotted at the Golden temple taking part in the seva. The actress and her film crew were in Amritsar for the past week, shooting a part of the film.

According to online reports, Aishwarya joined devotees in cooking food, cleaning the floors and even washing the dishes at the temple. Sarbjit' crew filmed several scenes of Ash participating in the various rituals.

Aishwarya's daughter Aaradhya and mother were also at the temple. After a long day of shooting, Ash and Aaradhya were spotted posing outside the temple for pictures. Reports state that fans and devotees rushed to get a glimpse of the actress, after word got around that she was shooting for her film.

Ash will be seen playing the role of Dalbir Kaur, sister of the late Sarbjit Singh, essayed by Randeep Hooda. While Aishwarya is busy shooting for the film, leading man Randeep has flown off to Australia.
