Trilogy is the best part of this decision if it’s indeed Mauryan, there’s so much to unpack there that one movie would have not done justice to the subject matter either.

Even if it’s a fictional story based on true historical events and characters, and Dhar has already decided that he would rather go for a trilogy already means he’s got a LOT of material to work with even if it’s not penned yet or it’s in the developmental stages.

What makes me happier is that budget will not be an issue regardless of the actual subject. If 1000 crores is true that’s a decent 300 crores plus per movie for a trilogy. Given what this man and his team pulled off in Dhurandhar with apparently 300 crores for both movies combined I can’t even imagine what they would do with this much money!

I simply hope that whatever be the case, Dhar doesn’t end up in a spot like he did with T Series being asses at the last minute for this franchise/series. Everything is ironed out from day one and the movies release in a gap of some months like Dhurandhar. I don’t think we as an audience would like sequels to take years going forward. They take too long, are declared only based on the reception of the first movies and if the story continues we forget a lot of it by the time the sequel releases. I would really hope that all the movies are ideally released in a year or two at most. This makes sure that the audience gets their conclusion and they can recall most of the story without having to watch the previous movie all over again.

Kinda like Potter did. They made sure that the movies were out a regular interval so they could have the actors look like their ages and the momentum isn’t lost.
