This show reminds me of Meenakshi Seshadri starrer "Damini". Adarsh's younger brother is a police officer and Swadheenta's muh bola brother, Asad, is a Muslim college student. This boy is dating the new girl in college, radhika. She might be connected to lawyer singhvi / simi's father. I guess something will go wrong because of this affair and Swadheenta and Adarsh's family will be fighting each other in the court. Just a guess.

By the way, I love the show, for now.

Dont know about similarity between Dahleez and Damini but Asad definitely has an important role to play. he is being given lot of screen time.

See Damini can be connected with any drama where the man is forced to choose between his love and family.

But then we will need one more strong male character to come apart from the leading man. A very significant role that of what Sunny deol played in Damini will have to taken up by that person.

Even when EHT or Ek Hasina Thi was running, people had compared it to Damini. There Dr Dayal filled the shoes of Sunny equivalent role, before the leading man Dev could be shaken up to take the side of his love.

No I am only referring to vague similarities like how singhvi's character is styled like amrish puri's character from damini and how swadheenta will be forced to fight against her own in-laws, most probably because of the wrong doings of one of her husband's brothers. I don't think there will be a character similar to sunny deal because swadheenta herself is a lawyer here. I have not watched ek Hasina thi, but I thought it was a vengeance drama. In damini it was about standing up for what is right and not about avenging something or someone.

@dsr I am not talking about sunny deol's profession per se, but someone who makes her stand back and fight once again. Because I am sure in first instance whatever she is gonna fight she is gonna lose because in all probability I am not expecting Adarsh by her side. That will be a set back. But Swa will have to fight it once again, maybe appeal and this will be the real game. Someone has to make her stand to fight that battle. Because when her in laws not there, when her husband is not with her the girl will be emotionally broken. Alone with no fall back option. Someone has to give her that emotional support to stand up and fight again EHT was fight for justice it was not exactly revenge. It was about justice denied to rape victim and how her sister comes back to fight it out once again with the wealthy and mighty to give justice to the victim.
