Nice point actually- well elaborated by other responses here. 😳

Why would she offer to pay 3 Lakhs in spite of her mamaji protesting?

Because she knows this woman will nag nag nag...plus she does feel guilty too...If she hadn't been mean to Shravan, he wouldn't have been mean to her- she wouldn't have driven carelessly- no accident would have happened- the family would be on a plane. So she feels responsible too, I guess.

True that apart from the nag ... The big point here is that she insisted that she wud drop them .. Even amidst protest from her Mami ... They were booking a cab & she waylaid those plans ..

Because she had nothing better to do, and wanted to save every nickel...so...no one would support her either after this happened.

Mausij started even before she arrived that they should have taken the cab...even her cousin said the same thing- she called her khudgarz, when she had been trying to be thrifty...so indeed, a lot of pressure.

And she would feel terrible she suggested it in the first place...and everyone was upset and even dabbu and mamaji who tried to hide it couldn't hide their disappointment. So even if mamiiji didn't suggest it or expect it- she just went on and on... But Sumo felt she was wholly responsible. True.
